Loyola University Chicago seeks a talented Web Designer to manage and enhance the web presence for the Graduate & Professional Enrollment Management (GPEM) department. Reporting to the Associate Director of Digital Communications, this position plays a pivotal role in supporting strategic enrollment goals through innovative web design and digital content management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, update, and design web content for Loyola’s centralized graduate recruitment website, ensuring adherence to best practices in web design.
  • Oversee the pattern library and style sheets to maintain consistency and functionality.
  • Collaborate with the GPEM Admissions team, campus partners, and Enrollment Marketing to create digital communication materials, including email campaigns, videos, and social media content.
  • Ensure alignment with university brand standards by partnering with Enrollment Marketing and University Marketing Communications (UMC).
  • Design and implement recruitment tools such as emails and portals within the GPEM environment.
  • Apply user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) principles to optimize website navigation and usability.
  • Provide expertise in Slate, including best practices for content blocks and datasets, and assist GPEM staff with troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with Enrollment Systems Research and Reporting (ESRR) to analyze communication and web presence data, offering actionable recommendations.
  • Support the admissions team in developing Slate campaign strategies and refresh branding based on industry trends.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support departmental goals.

Work Environment:
This hybrid role requires three days per week at the Loyola Water Tower Campus and two days working remotely.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Art, Web Design, or a related field.
  • Two or more years of experience developing web pages in a corporate, educational, or freelance setting.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other design tools.
  • Knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and scripting languages.
  • Strong understanding of current and emerging digital design trends.
