Reporting⠀to the CEO⠀and⠀working⠀closely⠀with other⠀senior⠀leaders of⠀Northwest⠀Kidney⠀Centers,⠀the VP of⠀People &⠀Culture is⠀a senior⠀leader who⠀provides⠀strategic⠀direction⠀and⠀leadership⠀in⠀aligning⠀people⠀initiatives⠀and⠀programs⠀with the⠀overall⠀business⠀goals and⠀vision of⠀NKC and⠀fostering⠀a culture⠀of equity,⠀diversity,⠀inclusion,⠀and⠀belonging⠀amongst⠀employees⠀and⠀stakeholders⠀while⠀leading⠀the⠀organization⠀through⠀innovative⠀people⠀practices⠀and⠀holistic⠀employee⠀engagement⠀strategies.⠀Is pivotal⠀in shaping⠀the⠀organization’s⠀growth⠀trajectory⠀by⠀championing⠀a culture⠀that⠀fosters⠀collaboration,⠀innovation,⠀inclusion,⠀and⠀employee⠀development.

Works⠀closely⠀with the⠀Executive⠀Team and⠀the Board⠀of⠀Trustees⠀in support⠀of the CEO⠀Compensation⠀Committee.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads the⠀HR team in⠀adopting⠀both a⠀strategic⠀and⠀operational⠀mindset to⠀align⠀people,⠀mission,⠀culture,⠀and⠀organizational⠀strategies.⠀Provides⠀senior⠀level⠀leadership⠀and⠀oversight⠀for the⠀development⠀and⠀execution⠀of all⠀people⠀strategies⠀that⠀foster⠀employee⠀engagement,⠀nurtures⠀talent⠀development,⠀and⠀enhances⠀organizational⠀effectiveness.
  • Develops,⠀communicates,⠀and⠀administers⠀HR⠀policies⠀and⠀procedures⠀that⠀maintain⠀and⠀improve⠀employee⠀relations⠀and shape⠀organizational⠀culture.⠀Assesses⠀and⠀advances⠀employee⠀engagement⠀and⠀satisfaction,⠀with⠀particular⠀attention⠀to the⠀experiences⠀and needs⠀of those⠀in⠀high-turnover⠀positions.
  • Proactively⠀engages⠀employees⠀to improve⠀working⠀relationships,⠀build⠀morale,⠀and⠀increase⠀productivity⠀and⠀retention.⠀Communicates⠀openly and⠀frequently,⠀keeping⠀employees⠀informed⠀on⠀department⠀strategies,⠀initiatives,⠀benefit⠀resources,⠀organizational⠀events,⠀and other⠀pertinent⠀information.
  • Provides⠀leadership⠀to manage⠀and⠀resolve⠀complex⠀employee⠀relations⠀issues and⠀ensures⠀effective,⠀thorough,⠀and⠀objective⠀investigations.⠀Establishes⠀and⠀delivers⠀Human⠀Resources⠀processes⠀and⠀programs⠀across the⠀full⠀employee⠀lifecycle.
  • Builds⠀authentic,⠀cooperative⠀partnerships⠀across the⠀organization.⠀Develops⠀and⠀maintains⠀a spirit⠀of⠀collaboration,⠀meaningful⠀feedback⠀loops and⠀communication⠀across the⠀multi-location⠀organization.
  • Champions⠀a culture⠀of⠀diversity,⠀equity and⠀inclusion⠀throughout⠀the⠀organization⠀and works⠀with other⠀leaders to⠀identify⠀and⠀implement⠀programs⠀to⠀maximize⠀opportunities⠀for all⠀employees.
  • Assesses⠀and⠀forecasts⠀the⠀organization’s⠀talent⠀needs to⠀understand⠀current⠀and future⠀leadership⠀gaps and⠀bench⠀strength,⠀and then⠀design a⠀comprehensive⠀leadership⠀development⠀strategy⠀to meet⠀future⠀needs.
  • Develops⠀a⠀comprehensive⠀talent⠀acquisition⠀strategy⠀utilizing⠀internal⠀and⠀external⠀resources⠀to attract⠀and⠀recruit a⠀skilled⠀workforce.
  • Assists⠀the⠀organization⠀in meeting⠀human⠀resources⠀related⠀requirements⠀as⠀identified⠀by CMS,⠀DOH, and⠀hospital⠀certification⠀bodies for⠀staff in⠀all⠀locations⠀where NKC⠀provides⠀dialysis⠀services.⠀Creates a⠀strategic⠀plan for⠀the HR⠀function⠀including⠀initiatives,⠀staffing,⠀metrics,⠀developing⠀and⠀managing⠀an annual⠀budget.
  • Reviews⠀and⠀evaluates⠀department⠀accomplishments⠀in terms⠀of meeting⠀budget,⠀quality,⠀cost⠀effectiveness,⠀and other⠀goals and⠀objectives.
  • Serves⠀as an⠀executive⠀leader of⠀NKC by⠀advising⠀the CEO⠀and other⠀executives⠀on the⠀human⠀capital⠀implications⠀of⠀business,⠀clinical,⠀and⠀program⠀strategies⠀during⠀development⠀and⠀implementation.
  • Evaluates⠀and⠀improves⠀the total⠀rewards⠀function⠀from⠀salary⠀structure,⠀performance⠀management,⠀and⠀education.⠀Expertly⠀leads the⠀employee⠀compensation,⠀benefits,⠀and⠀wellness⠀programs⠀including⠀communicating⠀with the⠀Compensation⠀Committee,⠀relevant⠀agencies,⠀and⠀third-party⠀administrators.
  • In⠀partnership⠀with⠀Employee⠀Health,⠀provide⠀oversight⠀for⠀workplace⠀safety and⠀workers⠀compensation⠀programs.⠀Understands⠀and⠀monitors⠀local,⠀regional,⠀and⠀national⠀trends in⠀healthcare⠀services⠀and⠀operations.

Required qualifications:

  • Requires a⠀bachelor’s⠀degree in⠀business,⠀healthcare⠀administration⠀or related⠀field;⠀master’s⠀degree⠀preferred.
  • 10+⠀years of⠀leadership⠀experience⠀in areas⠀of HR,⠀leading a⠀team and⠀collaborating⠀with⠀business⠀leaders.
  • 5+⠀years⠀leading⠀human⠀resources⠀in⠀healthcare⠀including⠀the⠀provider⠀side to⠀bring new⠀strategies⠀in⠀development⠀and⠀delivery.
  • Experience⠀working⠀with⠀senior⠀executives⠀and board⠀members is⠀highly⠀desirable.
  • Hands-on⠀and⠀strategic⠀with full⠀employee⠀lifecycle⠀experience
  • Demonstrated⠀experience⠀developing⠀and⠀implementing⠀programs⠀in talent⠀management,⠀performance⠀management,⠀compensation,⠀succession⠀planning⠀and⠀learning.
  • Experienced⠀in⠀attracting⠀and⠀growing⠀talent to⠀have the⠀necessary⠀workforce⠀to serve⠀the needs⠀of the⠀business.
  • Knowledge⠀of⠀federal,⠀state, and⠀local laws⠀and⠀maintains⠀knowledge⠀to ensure⠀policies⠀and⠀practices⠀are in⠀compliance.
  • Demonstrated⠀experience⠀managing⠀complex⠀change⠀initiatives.
  • Must⠀be a⠀strategic⠀thinker⠀that takes⠀initiative,⠀has the⠀stamina,⠀emotional⠀intelligence,⠀and strong⠀interpersonal⠀skills to⠀operate⠀strategically⠀and⠀effectively⠀to oversee⠀the⠀tactics⠀that help⠀drive and⠀achieve⠀differentiating⠀business⠀results.
  • Ability⠀to⠀represent⠀NKC to⠀outside⠀organizations,⠀agencies,⠀legal⠀counsel,⠀and area⠀healthcare⠀providers.
