Reporting⠀to the⠀President⠀& Chief⠀Executive⠀Officer⠀(CEO), the⠀Vice⠀President,⠀Chief⠀Program⠀Officer⠀(CPO) will⠀work⠀closely⠀with FCA's⠀other⠀senior⠀leaders to⠀drive⠀strategy⠀and⠀innovation⠀to⠀enhance,⠀expand and⠀advance⠀FCA's⠀comprehensive⠀array of⠀services⠀and⠀programs.
The⠀Vice⠀President/CPO⠀is⠀responsible⠀for⠀leading⠀and⠀managing a⠀team of⠀talented⠀Assistant⠀Vice⠀Presidents⠀(AVPs) and⠀overseeing⠀more than⠀40⠀programs⠀delivered⠀across 13⠀sites. On⠀a⠀day-to-day⠀basis, the⠀CPO leads⠀and⠀coordinates⠀the work⠀of⠀multiple⠀program⠀areas and⠀is⠀responsible⠀for⠀ensuring⠀successful⠀cross-coordination⠀between⠀program⠀areas and⠀divisions.
Specifically,⠀the⠀responsibilities⠀and⠀qualifications⠀of the⠀position⠀include:
Responsibilities
- In⠀conjunction⠀with the⠀leadership⠀team,⠀establish⠀short-term⠀and⠀long-term⠀program⠀goals,⠀objectives,⠀and⠀metrics,⠀consistent⠀with FCA's⠀strategic⠀plan and⠀available⠀financial⠀resources.
- Provide⠀inspiring⠀leadership⠀and⠀programmatic⠀expertise⠀in the⠀oversight⠀and⠀ongoing⠀development⠀of FCA's⠀services.⠀Implement⠀and lead a⠀continuous⠀quality⠀improvement⠀process⠀throughout⠀the⠀program⠀and⠀service⠀areas,⠀focusing⠀on Key⠀Performance⠀Indicators⠀(KPIs) and⠀client⠀satisfaction.
- Lead⠀a high⠀performing⠀team of⠀AVPs and⠀carry out⠀supervisory⠀responsibilities,⠀including⠀assigning⠀and⠀directing⠀work,⠀evaluating⠀performance,⠀and⠀delivering⠀timely and⠀constructive⠀feedback⠀in⠀accordance⠀with⠀applicable⠀laws,⠀funder⠀requirements⠀and FCA's⠀professional⠀standards.
- Ensure⠀that all⠀program⠀activities⠀operate⠀consistently,⠀in⠀compliance⠀with⠀applicable⠀laws,⠀regulations⠀and funder⠀requirements⠀and in a⠀way that⠀reflects⠀the⠀mission⠀and values⠀of⠀FCA.
- Deploy⠀resources⠀efficiently⠀and⠀effectively⠀toward⠀organizational⠀goals,⠀working⠀with⠀managers⠀to balance⠀workload⠀and⠀effort,⠀and⠀provide⠀regular⠀feedback⠀to spur⠀continuous⠀improvement⠀in⠀supervision⠀and⠀mentoring⠀skills.
- In⠀conjunction⠀with⠀directors,⠀develop⠀and⠀implement⠀staffing⠀plans to⠀align⠀staff⠀expertise⠀and⠀capabilities⠀with⠀responsibilities⠀and to⠀achieve⠀program⠀goals and⠀objectives.
- Support⠀fundraising⠀efforts⠀for the⠀organization,⠀including⠀grant⠀application⠀preparation⠀and⠀working⠀with⠀development⠀staff to⠀craft⠀strategies⠀that will⠀engage⠀public/private⠀funders⠀and⠀donors.
- Manage⠀programmatic⠀compliance⠀with grant⠀awards and⠀communicate⠀with⠀internal/external⠀stakeholders⠀and⠀partners⠀regarding⠀new⠀proposals,⠀grant⠀deliverables⠀and grant⠀reporting⠀requirements.
- Work⠀closely⠀with the⠀AVPs, CFO⠀and⠀finance⠀department⠀to⠀develop,⠀modify and⠀monitor⠀program⠀budgets to⠀ensure⠀sound⠀fiscal⠀management.
Qualifications
- At least⠀10 years⠀of⠀professional⠀health and⠀human⠀services⠀experience,⠀with a⠀minimum of⠀five to⠀seven⠀years of⠀senior-leadership⠀experience⠀supervising⠀seasoned⠀staff.
- Master's⠀Degree⠀required.⠀MSW, MPH,⠀MPA, MBA⠀preferred.
- Proven⠀results⠀leveraging⠀available⠀resources⠀effectively⠀to meet⠀program⠀objectives⠀and⠀exceptional⠀program,⠀budget,⠀and grant⠀management⠀skills.
- Strong⠀relationship⠀builder⠀and⠀communicator⠀with⠀experience⠀leading⠀diverse⠀work⠀teams,⠀developing⠀an⠀organization-wide⠀strategy⠀for⠀program⠀excellence,⠀engaging⠀community⠀partners,⠀and⠀partnering⠀with a⠀President/CEO⠀and Board⠀of⠀Trustees.
- Demonstrates⠀integrity,⠀strives⠀for⠀excellence⠀in their⠀work, and⠀has⠀experience⠀of leading⠀others to⠀new levels⠀of⠀effectiveness⠀and⠀programmatic⠀impact.
