Overview:
The⠀Art⠀Director⠀is⠀responsible⠀for the⠀overall⠀visual⠀identity⠀of⠀California⠀Schools⠀VEBA and⠀will bring⠀the VEBA⠀brand to⠀life⠀through⠀creative⠀elements⠀and⠀visuals.⠀This role⠀will⠀manage all⠀visual⠀initiatives⠀from start⠀to finish,⠀leading a⠀cross-functional⠀creative⠀team in⠀the⠀conception,⠀design,⠀and⠀execution⠀of visual⠀materials⠀across⠀traditional⠀and⠀digital⠀channels.

Responsibilities:

- Work as a⠀senior⠀team⠀member to⠀bring⠀strategy⠀to life⠀through⠀creative⠀concepts,⠀with a⠀focus on⠀visual and⠀design.
- Under⠀the⠀guidance⠀of the⠀Director,⠀Client⠀Marketing⠀&⠀Communications,⠀develop⠀and⠀implement⠀strategies⠀that⠀communicate⠀VEBA’s⠀strategic⠀goals and⠀brand⠀message in⠀an online⠀environment.
- Develop⠀and⠀execute⠀high-quality⠀visual⠀designs⠀for⠀deliverables⠀ranging:⠀digital⠀campaigns,⠀websites,⠀landing⠀pages,⠀social⠀media,⠀client and⠀internal⠀presentations,⠀and more⠀to meet⠀business⠀objectives.
- Help⠀define and⠀evolve the⠀VEBA⠀visual⠀identity⠀across all⠀channels.
- Work⠀cross-functionally⠀to⠀understand⠀business⠀needs and⠀collaborate⠀with⠀stakeholders.
- Collaborate⠀with⠀internal⠀and⠀external⠀stakeholders⠀to⠀brainstorm,⠀ideate,⠀and create⠀effective⠀campaigns,⠀content,⠀and⠀strategies.
- Understand⠀marketing⠀initiatives,⠀strategic⠀positioning,⠀and target⠀audience.
- Responsible⠀for the⠀creation⠀of style⠀guides and⠀related⠀materials⠀for⠀internal⠀and⠀external⠀teams.
- Manage⠀own⠀projects⠀to⠀completion⠀as well as⠀lead/coach⠀junior⠀team⠀members.
- Oversee⠀all art⠀department⠀hiring,⠀training,⠀managing,⠀development⠀&⠀resourcing.

Qualifications:

- Advanced⠀level⠀experience⠀in working⠀with⠀various⠀design⠀software.
- In-depth⠀understanding⠀of the⠀technical⠀aspects of⠀Web design⠀and⠀information⠀architecture.
- Demonstrated⠀experience⠀with the⠀use of⠀HTML and⠀CMS⠀(WordPress⠀preferred)

Core Experience/Education:
- Bachelor’s⠀degree⠀required.

- Knowledge⠀of current⠀graphic⠀design⠀equipment,⠀tools, and⠀techniques⠀required.
- Experience⠀with web⠀design is⠀strongly⠀preferred.
- Excellent⠀communication,⠀project⠀management,⠀design,⠀and⠀creative⠀problem-solving⠀skills.
- Expert⠀presentation⠀skills,⠀both⠀written⠀and⠀verbal.
