We⠀are⠀seeking an⠀Associate-level⠀investment⠀professional⠀to join a⠀small team⠀that⠀manages⠀~$30bn of⠀assets⠀across a⠀portfolio⠀of over⠀100+⠀privately⠀placed⠀debt⠀investments.⠀This⠀person⠀will be⠀responsible⠀for⠀identifying⠀and⠀underwriting⠀new⠀investments,⠀monitoring⠀existing⠀positions,⠀as well as⠀broader⠀fund⠀performance⠀reports.⠀This⠀position⠀will⠀report⠀into US⠀Private⠀Capital⠀leadership⠀and⠀partner⠀with other⠀professionals⠀within the⠀organization.⠀Candidates⠀should⠀have a⠀background⠀in credit⠀investing⠀with the⠀research⠀and⠀modeling⠀skills to⠀underwrite⠀and⠀monitor⠀existing⠀investments.⠀Critical⠀to the⠀individual’s⠀success⠀will be⠀their⠀investment⠀judgment,⠀ability to⠀work⠀constructively⠀with⠀investment⠀partners,⠀willingness⠀to take⠀initiative,⠀resourcefulness⠀and⠀intellectual⠀curiosity.

Job Responsibilities:

• Research⠀industries,⠀companies⠀and create⠀detailed⠀financial⠀models to⠀highlight⠀relevant⠀metrics to⠀be used in⠀the⠀investment⠀decision⠀making⠀process

  Produce⠀quality⠀analysis⠀of company⠀and⠀diligence⠀information⠀to support⠀investment⠀conclusions

  Develop⠀accurate,⠀flexible⠀financial⠀models /⠀scenario⠀analysis

  Preparation⠀of⠀concise,⠀accurate⠀and⠀complete⠀investment⠀memoranda

  Actively⠀monitor⠀portfolio⠀existing⠀portfolio⠀names

Requirements / Qualifications:

• 2-5 years⠀relevant⠀experience

  Investment⠀Banking⠀and⠀Private⠀Credit⠀experience⠀a⠀plus

  Superior⠀analytical,⠀thinking,⠀and⠀communication⠀(oral and⠀written)⠀skills

  Candidates⠀must be⠀comfortable⠀participating⠀in⠀diligence⠀meetings⠀with⠀senior⠀management;⠀portfolio⠀companies,⠀sponsors⠀and other⠀investment⠀professionals

  Motivated,⠀self-starter⠀that seeks⠀problem⠀solving⠀situations

  Must⠀be able to⠀work in⠀team-oriented⠀environment⠀and show⠀ability to⠀quickly⠀climb⠀learning⠀curve

For⠀California⠀and New⠀York City⠀only the⠀salary⠀range for⠀this⠀position⠀is⠀$142,500⠀–⠀$170,000.⠀Additionally,⠀employees⠀are⠀eligible⠀for an⠀annual⠀discretionary⠀bonus, and⠀benefits⠀including⠀heath⠀care,⠀leave⠀benefits,⠀and⠀retirement⠀benefits.⠀BlackRock⠀operates a⠀pay-for-performance⠀compensation⠀philosophy⠀and your⠀total⠀compensation⠀may vary⠀based on⠀role,⠀location,⠀and firm,⠀department⠀and⠀individual⠀performance.
