The Commercial Bank Analyst Development Program (ADP) is designed for recent graduates who are eager to start their careers in finance with a focus on leveraged buyouts, acquisition financing, debt refinancing, and recapitalizations. This program offers comprehensive training in underwriting, financial analysis, and credit policies, followed by hands-on experience within the Sponsor Finance Team. As part of the program, you'll develop a broad skillset through formal classes, online coursework, and on-the-job training.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Financial Analysis: Prepare cash flow models and historical financial analysis for new and existing borrowers.
  • Credit Underwriting: Assist in the underwriting process by conducting industry research and preparing projection models.
  • Portfolio Management: Manage accounts post-close, including waiver and amendment requests, and add-on financing requests for existing borrowers.
  • New Business: Support the preparation of new business requests, assisting in the structuring of debt solutions.
  • Compliance: Maintain credit files and ensure compliance with all First Citizens Bank policies and procedures.
  • Systems Proficiency: Develop a firm understanding of First Citizens Bank systems and resources.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree required upon the start of the program.

Preferred:

  • Major or concentration in a quantitative field such as math, business, finance, or economics.
  • Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.3 (preferably 3.5).
  • Previous internship experience in an analytical role within financial services.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and work collaboratively in team settings.
