The Territory Sales Representative plays a key role in supporting the sales team by partnering with the Territory Business Manager to develop and implement effective sales strategies, prioritize accounts, and forecast growth. This role is centered on building and managing relationships with key customers and contributing to value creation within the territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Management: Work closely with established accounts to maximize profitable growth within the assigned region.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the Territory Business Manager to craft effective sales strategies, prioritize key accounts, and contribute to forecasting.
  • Relationship Building: Develop, maintain, and manage relationships with key customers, acting as a trusted advisor to drive value creation.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Share insights and strategies with team members and colleagues.
  • Collaboration with Marketing: Partner with marketing and product lines to create tools and ideas for product development and portfolio expansion.
  • Education and Presentation: Conduct presentations and training for retail sales teams and growers to enhance product knowledge.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Experience in field-based, value-added agricultural sales/marketing.
  • Background in crop management, fertilizers, chemicals, seed treatments, seed enhancements, or agricultural business.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of professional sales experience.
  • Experience with distribution channels or retail sales in the agriculture industry, particularly in fertilizers, chemicals, or biologicals.
