Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Terminal Operations:
    • Perform all functions of terminal operations, including handling liquid products such as chemicals and petrochemicals, following work orders and supervision.
    • Operate safely and efficiently, adhering to standard operating procedures, state, and local regulations.
    • Perform physical and side gauge readings as required for liquid products.
    • Execute heating functions of required products in terminal storage and mode units.
    • Handle rail switching tasks.
    • Conduct spill cleanup operations as needed.
    • Maintain housekeeping in operational areas, grounds, and buildings.
    • Assist in environmental services and maintenance as required.
    • Participate in company training programs and testing.
    • Actively engage in safety programs and initiatives.
    • Work in compliance with company standards and safety procedures.
    • Overtime may be mandatory if no volunteers are available.

Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Trade school, formal training, or an associate degree is highly desirable.

Job Requirements (Experience, Skills, Knowledge, and Working Conditions):

  • Skills and Experience:
    • Experience/familiarity with tools such as pipe wrenches, box wrenches, and others.
    • Strong mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, fractions, multiplication, percentages).
    • Flexible schedule, willing to work in a 24-hour operation, weekends, and holidays.
    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
    • Team-oriented with the ability to take direction from supervisors and adhere to work schedules.
    • Focused attention to detail and willingness to take on additional job responsibilities.
    • Dependable with a superior work ethic.
    • Ability to withstand extreme weather conditions for outside work.
    • Ability to perform physical tasks, including walking up/down stairs/ladders (heights up to 40 feet), carrying up to 50 pounds, and negotiating uneven surfaces.
    • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including a hard hat, goggles, rain gear, steel-toe boots, and a full-face respirator.
    • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
    • Successful completion of a background check, physical, and drug screen.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Experience handling hazardous liquid chemicals.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, Industrial Hygiene, and other industry regulations is a major plus.
  • Previous experience as a Terminal Operator, Gauger, or Maintenance Mechanic.
