Under⠀the⠀direction⠀of the⠀Director⠀of Student⠀Affairs⠀and⠀Wellbeing,⠀the⠀Student⠀Compliance⠀Coordinator⠀is⠀responsible⠀for⠀students'⠀health⠀compliance⠀records⠀tracking,⠀security⠀of these⠀records,⠀the secure⠀distribution⠀of this⠀information⠀to⠀affiliates⠀and the⠀coordination⠀and⠀scheduling⠀of⠀compliance-related⠀workshops⠀and⠀clinics.⠀The⠀individual⠀must have⠀the⠀ability to⠀prioritize⠀while⠀working on⠀multiple⠀projects⠀at a time,⠀work⠀successfully⠀both⠀individually⠀and on⠀team⠀projects,⠀be⠀extremely⠀organized,⠀demonstrate⠀dependability,⠀and have a⠀professional⠀attitude⠀and poise⠀for⠀interacting⠀with⠀students,⠀faculty,⠀and staff.

Responsibilities:
A day in the life of a Student Compliance Coordinator at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
  • The⠀Student⠀Compliance⠀Coordinator⠀is⠀responsible⠀for the⠀daily⠀management⠀of student⠀compliance⠀for the⠀School of⠀Medicine,⠀supporting⠀an average⠀of 660⠀students.
  • Work⠀with an⠀outside⠀vendor in⠀initiating⠀and⠀maintaining⠀database⠀tracking⠀of all⠀students'⠀requirements⠀to include⠀immunizations,⠀and drug⠀screening,⠀tracking⠀all⠀students⠀are⠀cleared,⠀notifying⠀them⠀before⠀they⠀expire and⠀track⠀individual⠀situations⠀that need⠀ongoing⠀monitoring.
  • Assist⠀individual⠀students⠀with⠀technical⠀issues⠀related to⠀vendor⠀software.
  • Develop⠀and⠀maintain a⠀clear and⠀concise⠀database⠀for⠀records⠀with⠀regular⠀and⠀consistent⠀status⠀updates.
  • Responsible⠀for the⠀management⠀and⠀scheduling⠀of annual,⠀on-campus⠀immunizations⠀for⠀students⠀including,⠀Influenza,⠀tuberculosis,⠀BLS,⠀MySuccess⠀learning⠀management⠀system,⠀and Fit⠀Testing.
  • Develop⠀and⠀distribute⠀relevant⠀compliance⠀correspondence⠀to all⠀accepted⠀students⠀through⠀matriculation.
  • Responsible⠀for the⠀tracking⠀of⠀students⠀in a⠀vaccination⠀series⠀that⠀include:⠀HepB,⠀Varicella,⠀and MMR⠀until the⠀status is⠀complete.⠀8.⠀Schedule⠀yearly Flu⠀Clinics,⠀Fit⠀Testing⠀dates, d⠀BLS⠀training.
  • Maintain⠀compliance⠀policies⠀and⠀communicate⠀compliance⠀requirements⠀with⠀students,⠀faculty,⠀and⠀programs⠀as⠀assigned.
  • Counsel⠀students⠀through⠀the⠀compliance⠀process on⠀a⠀one-on-one⠀basis;⠀address⠀individual⠀student⠀questions⠀related to⠀their⠀specific⠀health⠀requirements⠀and meet⠀the SOM⠀compliance⠀requirements.
  • Facilitate⠀compliance⠀information⠀sessions⠀with⠀students,⠀such as⠀orientation⠀sessions⠀or virtual⠀meetings,⠀occurring⠀outside of⠀typical⠀work hours⠀and work⠀days⠀during the⠀academic⠀year as⠀required.
  • Coordinate⠀compliance⠀for⠀students'⠀going to⠀clinical⠀sites and⠀rotations⠀according⠀to⠀established⠀compliance⠀criteria⠀to meet⠀all⠀requirements.
  • Responsible⠀for⠀maintaining⠀deadlines⠀to submit⠀site-specific⠀attestation⠀letters⠀and/or⠀additional⠀student⠀specific⠀documentation⠀as⠀required.
  • Maintain⠀confidentiality⠀of student⠀information⠀according⠀to the⠀policies⠀and⠀procedures⠀of the⠀institution.
  • Support⠀Clerkship⠀Directors⠀and⠀Coordinators⠀in⠀compliance⠀needs⠀related to⠀student⠀health⠀requirements.
  • Maintain⠀a⠀relationship⠀and be in⠀regular⠀communication⠀with⠀MyRecordTracker⠀and⠀Hackensack⠀Meridian⠀WORKS in⠀order to⠀monitor⠀any⠀concerns⠀and⠀address⠀any issues⠀that arise⠀in a⠀timely⠀manner.
  • Other⠀duties⠀and/or⠀projects⠀as⠀assigned.
  • Adheres⠀to HMH⠀Organizational⠀competencies⠀and⠀standards⠀of⠀behavior.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Bachelor's⠀degree in⠀Education,⠀Social⠀Work,⠀Psychology,⠀Business,⠀Sociology,⠀Public⠀Health, or⠀a related⠀field.
  • Minimum⠀of 3 years⠀in the⠀administration⠀of a⠀higher⠀education⠀program⠀for⠀students.
  • An⠀understanding⠀of,⠀ability to⠀demonstrate⠀sensitivity⠀to, and⠀respect⠀for the⠀diverse⠀academic,⠀socio-economic,⠀ethnic,⠀cultural,⠀ability,⠀military,⠀religious,⠀sexual⠀orientation,⠀and gender⠀identity⠀backgrounds⠀of medical⠀students,⠀faculty,⠀and⠀staff.
  • Excellent⠀written⠀and verbal⠀communication⠀skills.
  • Proficient⠀computer⠀skills⠀that may⠀include⠀but are⠀not⠀limited to⠀Microsoft⠀Office⠀and/or⠀Google⠀Suite⠀platforms.
