The Store Administration Director plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and ensuring the seamless execution of store processes. As a key store leader, they focus on fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment while anticipating future needs and adapting to market changes. The role requires strong attention to detail, strategic planning, and leadership in coaching, training, and supporting team members to achieve outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Development: Train and mentor Department Team Leaders (DTLs) and the Store Team Leader to ensure excellence in operational execution and leadership. Act as the lead decision-maker when the Store Director or Assistant Store Director is unavailable.
  • Fostering Positive Culture: Build and maintain a positive store culture, promoting teamwork and morale. Act as a role model of integrity and trust, creating an environment that empowers and invests in team member success.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure storewide adherence to company standards, focusing on product presentation, quality, and freshness. Lead safety programs, manage store maintenance, and oversee Known Loss Program activities to minimize shrink and losses.
  • Financial Accountability: Monitor store financial performance, including sales, labor costs, gross profit, and shrinkage, and work to meet or exceed budgeted goals. Lead inventory management processes to enhance profitability.
  • Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Stay flexible to changing business needs, reallocating resources and adjusting priorities as needed. Foster innovation and continuous improvement within the store.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • At least three years of leadership experience in retail, service, or related industries; grocery experience is preferred.
  • Proven experience managing profit and loss, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to build trust-based relationships with team members and encourage growth and development within the team.
  • Knowledge of supermarket financials, including shrink/waste management and inventory best practices.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, with availability to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to use technology to improve operational efficiencies.
