Amazon's North America Stores Marketing team is seeking a Sr. Visual Designer who is passionate, customer-obsessed, and highly entrepreneurial to create innovative shopping experiences. This role involves working at the intersection of technology, science, marketing, and creativity to deliver cutting-edge content that both delights customers and supports business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Present Design Concepts: Communicate ideas and finished work to senior stakeholders and internal customers.
  • Data-Informed Design: Use performance data (such as usability studies and metrics) to steer future creative decisions.
  • Usability Expertise: Apply usability principles to ensure successful design outcomes.
  • Cross-Team Leadership: Collaborate across teams and synthesize stakeholder feedback to refine designs.
  • Iterative Work: Quickly create detailed mockups in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
  • Photo Direction: Work closely with art directors to influence photo direction.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication; confident presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing effectively.
  • Ownership & Independence: Strong sense of urgency, flexibility, and autonomy.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to quickly learn and adapt to internal systems and technology.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Portfolio: A strong online portfolio showcasing visual communication, typography, and user-centered design solutions across print and digital.
  • Experience: 8+ years of visual design experience.
  • Software Proficiency: Expertise in Figma, Adobe Suite, and related design/production tools.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in visual communications, graphic design, or a relevant field.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Proven track record working across teams to deliver successful projects.
  • Production Expertise: Deep understanding of web production processes and familiarity with post-production retouching.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and research teams to align strategies with customer insights.
  • Lead the creative development process from concept to final execution.
  • Manage an internal team of designers, copywriters, and external creative resources.
  • Present creative concepts to senior executives effectively.
  • Ensure timely delivery of creative projects under tight deadlines.
