As a Senior Operational Review Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in designing and executing operational reviews and control testing to assess the effectiveness of Alliant Credit Union’s first-line key controls. This position involves close collaboration with various business lines to oversee the onboarding process and execution of operational reviews, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and risk standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and articulate findings, issues, and recommendations from control testing activities. Maintain a deep understanding of Alliant Credit Union’s control inventory, management policies, control testing methodologies, and related regulatory standards.
  • Suggest improvements to testing modules, scripts, and methodologies, including approaches for assessing the effectiveness of first-line key controls to mitigate key risk exposures.
  • Review and ensure accurate documentation of control evaluation workpapers, including retention practices and reviewer commentary.
  • Prepare and communicate results, conclusions, and memos from control testing activities to key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Assist in validating and closing control issues identified during testing.
  • Train internal employees and monitor testing outcomes to ensure alignment with established procedures and criteria.
  • Provide guidance to business line peers, helping them identify root causes and develop recommendations based on operational review results.
  • Act as the designated lead tester and reviewer for other control testing engagements.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Risk, Project Management, or a related field.

Experience:

  • At least two years of experience in controls testing, internal audit, quality control, or related roles.
