Specialist IT Systems Administration

Job Opportunity:

As a Senior IT System Administrator, you will take ownership of Core42’s 24/7 Cloud infrastructure support and Event & Incident management processes. You will oversee system planning, implementation, and maintenance, ensuring reliability, security, and optimal performance of IT systems. This role will position you at the core of Core42's ambitious growth strategy, playing a pivotal role in sustaining our infrastructure, optimizing operations, and maintaining our leadership in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

System Administration:

• Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, networks, hardware, and software within the Core42 infrastructure.
• Manage and optimize IT system performance to align with business objectives.
• Help upgrade, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement security measures to safeguard IT infrastructure and data.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Troubleshooting and Support:

• Provide advanced technical support to resolve complex issues.
• Prepare and execute system maintenance plans for proactive management.
• Collaborate with helpdesk and support teams on escalated issues.

Infrastructure Planning:

• Participate in the strategic planning and development of IT infrastructure.
• Recommend and implement new technologies and solutions for improved efficiency and performance.

Backup and Recovery:

• Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery processes to ensure data security.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work with cross-functional teams to understand IT requirements and deliver optimal solutions.
• Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a senior or lead System Administrator role.
• Certifications: MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent.
• Network security certifications, such as CompTIA Security+.
• Strong experience in Windows Server environments.
• Proficiency in Azure, M365, Active Directory, and related security tools.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols, security principles, and infrastructure management.
• Strong scripting skills for automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
