Description Job Description


 The Internal Communications Specialist for Food & Beverage at Universal Orlando Resort will be responsible for executing internal communications strategies within the Food & Beverage division. This role involves organizing, developing, and distributing information to streamline communication across various levels of the organization, from frontline team members to senior leadership.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Communication Execution: Under senior leadership's guidance, communicate operational updates and changes across the Food & Beverage division, including content development for various media.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and act on opportunities to streamline processes and communication to enhance effectiveness.
  • Content Dissemination: Convey department and division business priorities through newsletters, spot talks, and in-person meetings, and manage communication tools for maximum exposure.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain relationships with key stakeholders to foster open communication, productivity, and trust.
  • Team Member Support: Respond to general inquiries from Team Members, maintain information boards, and ensure all postings meet internal standards and are approved.
  • Project Support: Assist with projects including crafting talking points, creating agendas and presentations for leadership meetings, compiling reports, and writing departmental communications.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance on data and ensure accurate dissemination to appropriate parties.
  • Safety Participation: Actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Required: High school degree or GED.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Public Relations, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • Required: 3+ years in Operations or the Theme Park industry.
  • Preferred: 1+ year in writing and content creation, experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft effective messaging and determine valuable content.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Listening Skills: Ability to understand business needs to develop relevant and effective communication.
