Job⠀Summary

A⠀Special⠀Billing⠀Auditing⠀Assistant⠀ensures⠀that large⠀commercial⠀and⠀industrial⠀customer⠀bills are⠀complete,⠀correct,⠀and⠀timely. A⠀Special⠀Billing⠀Auditing⠀Assistant⠀utilizes⠀their⠀understanding⠀of the⠀Electric⠀and Gas⠀Tariff,⠀SOX⠀controls,⠀customer⠀rates,⠀billing⠀components,⠀seasonal⠀usage⠀patterns,⠀and our⠀billing⠀and⠀metering⠀systems to⠀determine⠀and⠀execute⠀appropriate,⠀and at⠀times⠀unique,⠀energy⠀billing⠀strategies.

Job⠀Responsibilities

The⠀daily⠀responsibilities⠀include⠀resolving⠀billing⠀errors,⠀performing⠀account⠀maintenance⠀(meter⠀changes,⠀address⠀updates,⠀customer⠀move-ins,⠀etc.),⠀answering⠀customer⠀inquiries,⠀troubleshooting⠀meter⠀problems,⠀analyzing⠀data,⠀creating⠀reports,⠀improving⠀current⠀processes,⠀calculating⠀and⠀billing⠀unmetered⠀usage,⠀improving⠀business⠀and system⠀processes,⠀and⠀supporting⠀the needs⠀of the⠀business.

Our⠀small⠀group of⠀Special⠀Billing⠀Auditing⠀Assistants⠀works⠀closely⠀with Large⠀Customer⠀Support,⠀Measurement,⠀Revenue⠀Integrity,⠀Rates,⠀Energy⠀Settlement,⠀Third⠀Party⠀Suppliers,⠀Construction⠀Inquiry,⠀Collections,⠀IT, and⠀customers⠀to resolve⠀complex⠀metering⠀and⠀billing⠀issues for⠀our⠀largest⠀customers⠀representing⠀more than⠀half⠀PSE&G’s⠀billed⠀revenues.

Job⠀Specific⠀Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High⠀School⠀Graduate
  • Minimum⠀of 2-3⠀years⠀related⠀work⠀experience
  • Excellent⠀written⠀and verbal⠀communication⠀skills
  • Proficient⠀in⠀Microsoft⠀Word,⠀Excel, and⠀Outlook
  • Strong⠀analytical⠀skills and⠀attention⠀to⠀detail
  • Experienced⠀in working⠀with⠀databases⠀and large⠀data⠀sets
  • Effective⠀problem-solving,⠀decision-making,⠀planning,⠀and⠀organizational⠀skills
  • Able⠀to⠀interact⠀effectively⠀with a⠀diverse⠀organization⠀and have⠀excellent⠀teamwork⠀and⠀interpersonal⠀skills
  • Because⠀the job⠀requires⠀driving to⠀company⠀locations⠀and⠀off-site⠀assignments⠀and⠀events,⠀must⠀possess a⠀valid⠀driver’s⠀license⠀with a⠀safe and⠀satisfactory⠀driver⠀history

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associate/Bachelor’s⠀Degree in⠀Business⠀Administration⠀or a⠀related⠀major
  • Knowledge⠀of⠀PSE&G’s⠀Electric⠀and Gas⠀Tariffs
  • Experienced⠀in working⠀in SAP’s⠀Customer⠀Database
  • Skilled⠀in process⠀mapping
  • Excellent⠀Excel⠀skills
  • Experienced⠀with⠀working on⠀process⠀improvements⠀and IT⠀Projects
  • Understanding⠀of⠀PSE&G’s⠀meter-to-cash⠀processes
  • Experienced⠀in⠀communicating⠀with⠀customers
