Providence⠀is seeking⠀a Service⠀Area Chief⠀Human⠀Resources⠀Officer⠀who will⠀lead the⠀Southeast⠀Washington⠀Acute⠀Ministries⠀(Hospitals)⠀HR team in⠀the⠀development⠀and⠀alignment⠀of⠀workforce⠀strategies⠀consistent⠀with⠀business⠀needs.⠀Providence⠀Clinical⠀Network⠀(PCN) has⠀its own⠀separate⠀HR⠀structure.

The⠀SA CHRO⠀will be⠀mission⠀driven and⠀focused on⠀high⠀qualities⠀and⠀standards⠀for HR⠀service⠀delivery⠀and will⠀serve as a⠀trusted⠀advisor to⠀executives.⠀The CHRO⠀will⠀provide⠀solutions⠀to complex⠀or⠀critical⠀issues.⠀Determine⠀HR⠀implications⠀of⠀changing⠀business⠀needs and⠀recommends⠀actions to⠀be taken.⠀Lead⠀consulting⠀efforts to⠀achieve⠀outcomes.⠀Foster an⠀environment⠀of⠀continuous⠀improvement⠀by⠀motivating,⠀mentoring,⠀and⠀developing⠀others.⠀Demonstrate⠀the⠀capacity⠀to⠀strategically⠀shape⠀change,⠀promote⠀fiscal⠀responsibility⠀and⠀integration⠀of the⠀core⠀values⠀while⠀meeting⠀the⠀organization's⠀strategies⠀and⠀objectives.

  • Use⠀segmented⠀hiring,⠀development,⠀retention,⠀and labor⠀strategies⠀to create⠀talent⠀outcomes⠀tied to⠀regional⠀priorities.
  • Ensure⠀organizational⠀strategies⠀are⠀aligned⠀and well⠀communicated,⠀organizational⠀designs⠀produce⠀efficient⠀and⠀effective⠀outcomes,⠀and big⠀change⠀efforts⠀are led to⠀maximize⠀buy-in and⠀support.
  • Proactively⠀managing⠀workplace⠀dynamics⠀whether⠀caregivers⠀are⠀organized.
  • Use⠀research,⠀science,⠀and data⠀analytics⠀to inform⠀& make⠀decisions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Service Area Chief Human Resources Officer:

  • Acts as⠀strategic⠀partner⠀and⠀trusted⠀advisor to⠀senior⠀leaders of⠀the local⠀organization,⠀ministry⠀and/or⠀community.
  • Works⠀collaboratively⠀with⠀shared⠀services⠀and⠀centers of⠀excellences⠀to ensure⠀a⠀seamless,⠀integrated⠀HR⠀experience⠀for core⠀leaders⠀and⠀caregivers.
  • Develops⠀and⠀administers⠀all labor⠀relations⠀activities⠀and local⠀strategies⠀for⠀assigned⠀area.⠀Coordinates/strategizes⠀with Labor⠀&⠀Employment⠀Counsel on⠀local⠀issues and⠀response.
  • Provides⠀leadership,⠀direction,⠀coaching⠀and⠀development⠀for direct⠀reports.
  • Influences⠀and leads⠀organizational⠀change.
  • Develops⠀and⠀implements⠀caregiver⠀(employee)⠀experience⠀strategies⠀and⠀tactics in⠀alignment⠀with⠀System,⠀Region and⠀Campus⠀goals.
  • Develops⠀and⠀administers⠀labor⠀relations⠀activities⠀and local⠀strategies⠀for⠀assigned⠀area.⠀Coordinates/strategizes⠀with the⠀Labor⠀Director⠀and Labor⠀&⠀Employment⠀Counsel on⠀local⠀issues and⠀response.
  • Coaches⠀and⠀counsels⠀Senior⠀Leadership⠀on⠀business,⠀labor, and⠀risk⠀mitigation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's⠀Degree,⠀Business⠀Administration,⠀HR⠀Management,⠀or related⠀field.
  • Master’s⠀Degree in⠀Business⠀Administration,⠀HR⠀management,⠀or related⠀field⠀(preferred).
  • Human⠀Resources⠀Global⠀Professional⠀Certification⠀(preferred).
  • 10+⠀years’⠀experience⠀in⠀Professional⠀human⠀resources⠀or related⠀experience.
  • Experience⠀in⠀brokering⠀services⠀in a⠀multi-site/location,⠀multi-line⠀of⠀business.
  • Previous⠀management⠀experience.

The⠀amounts⠀listed are⠀the base⠀pay range;⠀additional⠀compensation⠀may be⠀available⠀for this⠀role, such⠀as shift⠀differentials,⠀standby/on-call,⠀overtime,⠀premiums,⠀extra⠀shift⠀incentives,⠀or bonus⠀opportunities.
