Job Description

Position Overview: We are⠀seeking a⠀dedicated⠀Security⠀Engineer⠀to join⠀our team.⠀The ideal⠀candidate⠀will be⠀responsible⠀for⠀developing⠀and⠀overseeing⠀our data⠀andsecurity⠀software⠀systems to⠀prevent⠀data⠀breaches⠀and⠀cybercrime⠀activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop⠀and⠀enforce⠀security⠀policies⠀and⠀procedures⠀in⠀alignment⠀with⠀industry⠀best⠀practices.
Identify⠀and define⠀system⠀security⠀requirements⠀and⠀specifications.
Conduct⠀security⠀assessments⠀and⠀penetration⠀testing to⠀identify⠀vulnerabilities⠀and⠀risks.
Monitor⠀security⠀access and⠀perform⠀vulnerability⠀and⠀penetration⠀tests
Plan,⠀research,⠀and⠀develop⠀security⠀policies,⠀standards,⠀and⠀procedures⠀for our⠀engineering⠀teams and⠀teams⠀across the⠀company⠀who⠀interact⠀with our⠀code or⠀development⠀environments
Develop⠀technical⠀solutions⠀and tools⠀to help⠀mitigate⠀security⠀vulnerabilities⠀and⠀automate⠀repeatable⠀tasks.
Configure⠀and⠀troubleshoot⠀security⠀infrastructure⠀devices,⠀including⠀firewalls,⠀intrusion⠀detection⠀systems,⠀anti-virus⠀software,⠀and patch⠀management⠀systems.
Serve⠀as a⠀security⠀expert and⠀conduct⠀training⠀when⠀needed to⠀educate⠀staff on⠀information⠀security.
Maintain⠀an⠀up-to-date⠀understanding⠀of⠀emerging⠀trends in⠀information⠀security⠀threats⠀and⠀solutions.
Collaborate⠀with other⠀departments⠀to ensure⠀the⠀consistent⠀application⠀of⠀policies⠀and⠀standards⠀across all⠀technology⠀projects,⠀systems,⠀and⠀services.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor?s⠀degree in⠀Computer⠀Science,⠀Information⠀Technology,⠀Cybersecurity,⠀or a⠀related⠀field.
Minimum⠀of 5 years⠀of⠀experience⠀in a⠀similar⠀role.
Professional⠀information⠀security⠀certification,⠀such as⠀CISSP,⠀CISM, CEH,⠀or⠀equivalent⠀are a⠀plus.
Deep⠀understanding⠀of and⠀experience⠀with⠀distributed⠀system⠀architecture⠀built and⠀managed in⠀Microsoft⠀Azure.
Knowledge⠀of⠀potential⠀attack⠀vectors⠀such as⠀XSS,⠀injection,⠀hijacking,⠀social⠀engineering,⠀and so⠀on.
Proficient⠀in⠀scripting⠀languages⠀(e.g.,⠀Python,⠀Perl, or⠀PowerShell).
Familiarity⠀with⠀web-related⠀technologies⠀(Web⠀applications,⠀Web⠀Services,⠀Service-Oriented⠀Architectures)⠀and⠀network/web-related⠀protocols.
Experience⠀with cloud⠀security,⠀including⠀architecture,⠀best⠀practices,⠀and⠀tools.
Excellent⠀communication⠀skills,⠀both⠀written⠀and⠀verbal.
