RUN Studios and its client, a major online retailer based in Seattle, are seeking a Senior Art Director for a 5-month project, requiring 40 hours per week.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Art Director, you will create assets to engage and attract customers, working with a global team of designers, writers, and production teams. You'll be involved in developing merchandising and marketing campaigns and will mentor a team of visual designers and production designers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Creation: Develop merchandising and marketing campaigns across online and offline channels.
  • Mentorship: Mentor a team of visual designers and production designers.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build trust and credibility with stakeholders and leadership.
  • Creative Development: Produce creative work that aligns with product vision, brand, and business objectives.
  • Customer Advocacy: Integrate user research into the creative process.
  • Collaboration: Partner with customer and market research teams to translate insights into impactful designs.
  • Best Practices: Grow team knowledge of design practices and trends.

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

  • Portfolio: Strong portfolio showcasing online marketing, retail merchandising, visual branding, and user-centered design.
  • Experience: 10+ years in a creative agency, with a proven track record in rapid, iterative concepting and development.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch/Adobe XD, Figma, and image-optimizing applications.
  • Communication: Excellent skills in communication, presentation, and interpersonal interactions.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to troubleshoot technical and process-related issues independently.
  • Design Systems: Familiarity with content management systems and design systems.

Additional Details:

  • Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
  • Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
  • Work Environment: Hybrid role with some time spent in the Seattle office.
  • Travel: No travel anticipated.
  • Compensation: $80.00 – $100.00 per hour, based on qualifications and location.
