Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Producers, Account Executives, and service teams to develop and execute tailored service strategies for each client.
- Prepare insurance applications and renewal submissions for property and casualty insurance lines.
- Build strong, personalized relationships with clients through effective communication across various channels (phone, email, in-person).
- Analyze client risk, coverage, and program structure; recommend and implement necessary coverage changes.
- Oversee client portal information and advise on access decisions to ensure accuracy.
- Manage the claims process by working with brokers and carriers to achieve optimal outcomes during losses.
Broker Relationship Management:
- Independently meet with brokers to fulfill commitments outlined in service strategies.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of state regulations and carrier programs for multi-state placements.
- Communicate effectively with brokers regarding insurance, claims, or administrative matters, acting as a liaison to resolve issues.
- Prepare and review insurance applications, renewal submissions, and other documentation related to property and casualty coverage.
- Collaborate with the Head of Risk Management to review policy terms, coverage, insurance limits, and retention levels.
- Manage relationships with third-party service providers, including brokers, insurers, and consultants.
- Track key metrics, including COIs, insurable values, and policy terms, using developed tools.
- Maintain a policy database and renewal calendar, ensuring timely and efficient operations across departments.
- Assist with compliance processes and audits, including construction audits and annual reviews.
- Respond to insurance-related reporting requests from lenders, joint ventures (JV), or other stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Licenses: Upon hire, Producers License for Fire/Casualty or Life/Health (based on role).
- Experience: 5+ years in a risk or insurance-related role, such as in an insurance brokerage, carrier, property underwriting, or as an in-house risk manager in real estate or similar industries. Experience in strategic planning and managing complex accounts.
- Skills:
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks across different proprietary, vendor, and web-based systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: BS/BA in Business, Insurance, or a related field.
- Certifications: CPCU, ARM, CEBS, or other relevant professional insurance designations.
- Experience: Familiarity with agency management systems
