The role and responsibilities of a bored pile rigger includes but is not limited to the following.
- Work in a⠀high pace⠀environment⠀while⠀staying⠀mindful of⠀safety and⠀quality.
- Provide⠀recommendations⠀for⠀maintaining⠀and⠀improving⠀project⠀Safety⠀performance.
- Coordinate⠀movements⠀of your⠀hands and⠀feet in⠀order to⠀guide⠀machinery⠀and piles⠀into⠀constricted⠀locations.
- Use⠀levels,⠀rules⠀plumb⠀bobs,⠀framing⠀squares,⠀and⠀surveying⠀equipment⠀to ensure⠀materials⠀are plumb,⠀level and⠀secure.
- Before⠀beginning⠀any⠀drilling,⠀ensure⠀that the⠀drilling⠀rig boom⠀is⠀vertical.
- Establish⠀reference⠀points for⠀the⠀installation⠀of the⠀casing.
- Proper⠀coordination⠀with the⠀drilling⠀rig⠀operator⠀is⠀essential⠀for proper⠀placement⠀of the⠀casing.
- Ensure⠀company⠀equipment,⠀material,⠀and the⠀work site⠀are⠀maintained,⠀kept⠀clean, and⠀stored in⠀a safe⠀manner.
- Daily⠀walk⠀around to⠀inspect⠀equipment⠀prior to⠀use.
- Control⠀movement⠀of heavy⠀equipment⠀through⠀narrow⠀openings⠀or⠀confined⠀spaces,⠀using⠀chain⠀falls, gin⠀poles,⠀gallows⠀frames,⠀and other⠀equipment
- Dismantle⠀and store⠀rigging⠀equipment⠀after⠀use.
- Comply⠀with⠀applicable⠀legislation⠀and HSE⠀requirements.
- Do⠀any⠀additional⠀tasks that⠀are asked⠀or needed⠀to be⠀completed.
- Assist⠀surveyor⠀in setting⠀out⠀piles.
- You⠀must be⠀able to⠀coordinate⠀your⠀actions⠀with those⠀of other⠀workers on⠀busy⠀construction⠀sites.
- Ability⠀to work⠀with⠀double⠀hearing⠀protection,⠀including⠀ear plugs⠀and⠀earmuffs.
- Ability⠀to work in⠀a⠀production⠀environment⠀where⠀daily⠀production⠀goals are⠀set,⠀evaluated⠀and⠀optimized.
- Manages⠀pile⠀installation⠀quality to⠀ensure all⠀piles are⠀installed⠀at⠀required⠀location
- Anticipates⠀and solves⠀problems.
- The⠀Rigger/⠀Pile crew⠀member⠀reports to⠀the site⠀Pile⠀Driving⠀Foreman.
