The⠀Research⠀Analyst⠀serves a⠀key member⠀of the⠀Virgo⠀research⠀team and⠀reports to⠀the⠀Director⠀of⠀Research⠀Operations.⠀Our⠀clients⠀depend on⠀us to⠀maintain⠀an⠀up-to-date⠀database⠀of⠀regulatory⠀requirements⠀that⠀govern⠀records⠀retention⠀and⠀records⠀management.⠀The two⠀main⠀focuses of⠀the⠀Research⠀Analyst⠀are: (1)⠀to ensure⠀existing⠀citations⠀in our⠀database⠀are⠀accurate⠀and⠀relevant;⠀(2)⠀conduct⠀new⠀research⠀as⠀required⠀by clients⠀who⠀operate⠀across the⠀globe and⠀in many⠀different⠀industries.⠀The⠀Research⠀Analyst⠀will also⠀be⠀proactive⠀in finding⠀new and⠀relevant⠀research⠀applicable⠀to our⠀clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct⠀legal⠀research⠀in many⠀jurisdictions⠀and across⠀various⠀industries.
- Decipher⠀laws and⠀regulations⠀and⠀accurately⠀capture⠀and input,⠀into the⠀research⠀database,⠀citations⠀relevant⠀to⠀document⠀retention,⠀privacy,⠀and⠀records⠀management.
- Research⠀the status⠀of⠀existing⠀citations⠀in the⠀research⠀database⠀using⠀appropriate⠀tools to⠀determine⠀if the⠀citations⠀are still⠀good law⠀or if they⠀have been⠀amended or⠀appealed.
- Monitor,⠀study and⠀develop⠀written⠀summaries⠀of⠀anticipated⠀and⠀endorsed⠀privacy⠀and⠀records⠀retention⠀legislation,⠀regulations,⠀and other⠀relevant⠀publications.
Education and Experience:
- Paralegal⠀certificate⠀preferred
- 2-3⠀years of⠀relevant⠀work⠀experience

- Previous⠀law firm⠀or⠀corporate⠀legal⠀experience

Salary⠀Range -⠀55,00-63,000⠀Plus⠀Bonus
