As a Credit Proposal Quality Control Specialist within the Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) team, you will ensure the highest quality standards in credit proposal reviews. Your role will focus on evaluating and identifying inconsistencies between supporting documentation and proposal data, contributing to the firm's objective of delivering best-in-class products and services to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Risk Management:
- Perform quality reviews across key credit processes with a focus on credit proposals.
- Ensure proper controls are in place to minimize operating risks and maintain high-quality standards.
- Manage production queues, exception reporting, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Review and analyze credit documentation to identify discrepancies and ensure proper alignment with established guidelines.
Collaboration & Reporting:
- Build effective relationships with Operations, Credit, Control, and Technology teams.
- Engage with technology partners to drive database improvements and assist with the implementation of CORE.
- Prepare and deliver ad-hoc reports for control organizations, audits, or business partners.
- Participate in discussions to improve quality standards and represent the QC team in internal working groups.
Data Analysis & Process Improvement:
- Research and analyze data for various projects and organizational requests, ensuring accuracy and timely action.
- Analyze facility setups in iCRD to ensure alignment with supporting documentation.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of experience in financial services, audit, accounting control, regulatory, or compliance.
- Knowledge of financial services industry practices, including lending and loan processing.
- Demonstrated decision-making skills and an analytical mindset.
- Working knowledge of credit products such as revolving lines of credit and term loans.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret and apply complex information.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to information-sharing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
- Familiarity with financial systems and tools such as ICRD, Party Central, I-Vault, DealWorks, CRRT.
- Experience in reading and interpreting loan and compliance documentation.
