The Quality Control Analyst will play a vital role in supporting The Federal Savings Bank’s sales and operational functions by conducting second-line loan reviews. This position involves performing audits to ensure compliance with the bank's internal policies and regulatory guidelines, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loan Reviews & Audits:

    • Conduct second-line loan reviews to support third-party origination and servicing functions.
    • Document and facilitate mitigation of audit findings in collaboration with relevant teams.
    • Process and address third-party requests, ensuring all items are handled appropriately.
  • Reporting & Documentation:

    • Prepare monthly executive summary reports on origination and servicing sample audits.
    • Perform internal audits, including reviews of Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) data, fraud detection tools, and Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems (MERS).
  • Risk Mitigation:

    • Identify potential risks and collaborate with responsible team members to mitigate any findings related to third-party origination and servicing.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Education:

    • A 2- or 4-year college degree.
  • Experience:

    • Recent professional experience in the mortgage industry, specifically in quality control, risk management, or loan servicing.
  • Skills:

    • Strong qualitative and quantitative skills with the ability to analyze policies, procedures, and mortgage lending guidelines.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
