The Project Engineer is a key position within a dynamic team responsible for executing Fire Protection System projects in the Oil & Gas sector across the Middle East region. Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the coordination, planning, and execution of projects, ensuring compliance with NFPA codes, UAE Life Safety Codes, and industry standards. Based in Abu Dhabi, you will manage the full project lifecycle, from design to installation, and serve as the primary point of contact for clients to understand and meet their requirements.
Project Management: Lead the execution of Fire Protection System projects, ensuring they are completed within the set budget, timeline, and to the client’s expectations.
Design & Engineering: Develop project objectives and technical designs for firefighting solutions, including Fire Protection (water-based systems), Gas Suppression, Foam, and Alarm Detection Systems.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure project designs and executions adhere to NFPA codes, UAE Life Safety Codes, QA/QC policies, and industry best practices.
Client Interaction: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, interpreting their needs, providing technical guidance, and representing them in the field.
Project Monitoring: Prepare and manage project schedules by calculating time requirements, sequencing activities, and monitoring progress. Prepare regular status reports to summarize project information and trends.
Vendor Management: Handle material ordering, vendor relations, and procurement processes for timely and cost-effective project execution.
Documentation: Produce and issue technical documents, drawings, calculations, datasheets, and procedures for project development and manufacturing.
Cost Management: Oversee project cost estimates, ensure revenue generation, and invoice customers efficiently. Identify cost-effective solutions during the design process.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in executing major Fire Protection System projects, especially in the Oil & Gas sector within GCC countries (UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar).
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Fire Protection Systems (water-based systems), Gas Suppression, Foam, Special Hazard Protection, and Alarm Detection Systems.
Skills:
Regional Knowledge: Work experience in the Oil & Gas sector in UAE, Oman, Kuwait, or Qatar is essential.
