Prepare⠀technical⠀support⠀documents,⠀procedures,⠀work⠀packs, and⠀work⠀instructions.
Liaise⠀with OEMs⠀for crane⠀repairs,⠀modifications,⠀or any⠀technical-related⠀issues.
Provide⠀daily⠀technical⠀support⠀including⠀troubleshooting⠀during⠀breakdowns.
Provide⠀technical⠀support to⠀workshop⠀teams⠀during⠀component⠀overhauls.
Technical⠀advice for⠀all⠀crane-related⠀incidents⠀during⠀root cause⠀analysis⠀and⠀investigations.
Provide⠀a focal⠀point for⠀technical⠀queries⠀and review⠀any⠀proposed⠀modifications⠀or changes⠀that may⠀arise.
Root⠀Cause⠀Analysis⠀of any⠀crane or⠀lifting⠀equipment⠀breakdowns.
Completion⠀of⠀purchase⠀requisitions
Preparation⠀of⠀proposals⠀and⠀tenders.

Recognized Qualifications and Experience

Essentials

University⠀Degree in⠀Mechanical⠀Engineering⠀(or an⠀equivalent⠀Qualification).
Minimum⠀of 5 yrs+⠀in a⠀previous⠀Project⠀Engineering⠀role or⠀Mechanical⠀Engineer⠀position.
Experience⠀working in⠀or⠀planning⠀projects⠀to be⠀undertaken⠀in an⠀offshore⠀environment.
Structural⠀design⠀background/experience⠀coupled⠀with sound⠀technical⠀knowledge.
Must⠀have a⠀professional⠀demeanor⠀with the⠀ability to⠀multi-task⠀and meet⠀deadlines.
You⠀will be⠀expected⠀to apply⠀appropriate⠀communication⠀skills and⠀exercise⠀attention⠀to⠀detail.
Regulatory⠀understanding⠀including,⠀PUWER,⠀LOLER.
Crane⠀health⠀care &⠀management.
Crane⠀maintenance⠀&⠀inspection.
Crane⠀operations.
Crane⠀personnel⠀engineers⠀&⠀technicians.

Preferred

Experience⠀with⠀control⠀systems⠀(Electric⠀/⠀Hydraulic⠀/⠀Pneumatic)⠀is an⠀advantage.
Exposure⠀to Oil &⠀Gas,⠀Offshore,⠀and⠀Manufacturing⠀environments.
Strong⠀CAD⠀skills,⠀preferably⠀with⠀AutoCAD.
Computer⠀Literate⠀in MS⠀Office⠀Packages.
Technical⠀knowledge⠀/⠀awareness⠀in the⠀provision⠀of⠀mechanical⠀solutions.
Knowledge⠀of local⠀market and⠀client⠀base.
