Under supervision, the Systems Analyst will assist in the development and modification of automated systems to replace manual processes. The role involves gathering user information, analyzing workflow, designing systems, and assisting in the maintenance and troubleshooting of software and hardware systems.

Essential Duties:

  • User Needs Analysis:

    • Interview systems users to identify information processing needs and analyze workflow to determine the feasibility of converting manual processes into computerized systems.
  • System Design & Development:

    • Design and modify systems to meet user needs, update existing programs, or modify vendor products.
    • Prepare visual representations of procedures and write detailed program specifications.
  • System Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

    • Modify and maintain existing systems to meet business requirements or respond to changes.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve operational problems in collaboration with vendors.
  • Documentation & Training:

    • Prepare training guides and system documentation for new or modified systems.
    • Assist in training user staff on system operations, software, and procedures.
  • Program and Database Support:

    • Write computer programs and support end users with software and hardware issues.
    • Assist in coordinating access to systems, ensuring security and data integrity.
  • Additional Responsibilities:

    • Support users with system requests via telephone, remotely, or in person.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, or a directly related field from an accredited college or university.

Additional Requirements:

  • This position requires an interview. Candidates will be selected based on their qualifications, experience, and interview performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Previous experience translating user needs into technical applications.
    • Experience providing hardware and software support.
    • Troubleshooting and resolving application issues.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and operating a personal computer (PC).
