NYU Grossman School of Medicine seeks a dedicated Program Coordinator to support student advising, academic coaching, career development, and professional identity formation for all medical students. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Student Affairs, the Director of the Violet Society Program, and the Director of Student Affairs, this role plays an integral part in facilitating key components of the Violet Society Program (VSP), residency application support, and dual degree programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Violet Society Program (VSP):

  • Assist in designing and implementing VSP curriculum; gather student feedback via surveys, and manage VSP data.
  • Support faculty development sessions, VSP faculty meetings, and communications in partnership with the Registrar.
  • Maintain VSP budget records, monitor expenses, and provide reports.
  • Coordinate student programming, including the peer mentor program and student advisory board.

Professional Identity Formation Curriculum:

  • Work with the Director of Medical Student Professionalism Development to deliver the Professional Identity Formation curriculum, including monthly faculty meetings and administration of Professional Identity Essays.

Career Advising and Residency Application Support:

  • Assist with the Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE) process, maintaining software, and addressing inquiries.
  • Support the development of resources for the residency application process, prepare educational materials, and gather feedback for quality improvements.

Dual Degree Programs:

  • Provide administrative support for dual degree options, act as a liaison to related NYU Master’s programs, and organize program information sessions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with an ability to work with diverse management levels and external partners.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team; excellent time management and multitasking skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior project or program coordination experience.

Salary Range:
$81,325.15 - $92,020.36 annually, dependent on experience, specialty, and education. The total compensation package may include additional incentives and benefits such as comprehensive healthcare, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, and more.
