As a Production Technician, you will be an integral part of our 3rd Shift production team. You will be responsible for setting up, monitoring, operating, troubleshooting, and performing preventative maintenance on production machinery. Your role will ensure high-quality standards and the smooth operation of the production line. Additionally, you will help maintain safety, cleanliness, and compliance with regulatory standards in the workplace.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup and Calibration: Ensure machines are set up properly at the start of production cycles (cleaning, calibration, etc.) and materials are available.
- Machine Operation: Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed), feed raw materials into machines, and monitor operations.
- Production Oversight: Perform duties related to production, inspection, and packaging; monitor output and troubleshoot any machine-related issues.
- Recordkeeping: Keep records of approved and defective products, activity logs, and other production documents.
- Assistance to Maintenance: Support the maintenance department as needed for repairs and equipment upkeep.
- Workplace Safety: Maintain a clean and safe workspace, adhering to safety and quality regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure efficient production processes.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience:
- Prior experience as a machine operator in a production environment is required.
- Food manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of high-speed machinery and measurement tools is beneficial.
- Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret production schedules and manuals.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Teamwork and communication abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for an 8-12 hour work shift.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
