Job Description

Eastman⠀Kodak⠀Company is⠀looking⠀for an⠀entry⠀level⠀Mechanical⠀or⠀Chemical⠀Engineer⠀to join⠀our Wide⠀Roll Film⠀Manufacturing⠀division⠀at the⠀Eastman⠀Business⠀Park in⠀Rochester,⠀NY in the⠀role of⠀Product⠀and⠀Process⠀Quality⠀Engineer.

The⠀principle⠀responsibilities⠀for this⠀position⠀are to⠀provide⠀excellence⠀in (1)⠀day-to-day⠀manufacturing⠀support⠀(quality,⠀troubleshooting,⠀and⠀testing)⠀in a⠀polyester⠀film⠀manufacturing⠀process⠀and (2)⠀longer⠀term⠀project⠀execution⠀to make⠀improvements⠀in⠀products⠀and⠀processes.⠀Extrusion,⠀conveyance⠀and⠀coating⠀processes⠀are keys⠀to making⠀polyester⠀film and⠀would be⠀the focus⠀of work.

Responsibilities:

Product⠀assessing⠀and⠀improving⠀both⠀physical⠀quality⠀and⠀performance⠀(improved⠀yield,⠀waste⠀reductions,⠀product⠀development,⠀etc.).
Troubleshooting⠀activities⠀of⠀performance⠀related⠀issues –⠀process⠀and⠀equipment⠀failures.
Working⠀closely⠀with⠀operations⠀and⠀maintenance⠀personnel⠀to improve⠀procedures⠀and⠀methods.

Desired qualifications:

Candidate⠀must have⠀a⠀Bachelor's⠀degree in⠀Mechanical⠀or⠀Chemical⠀engineering
Demonstrated⠀ability⠀(through⠀work⠀experience⠀or⠀education)⠀to use⠀engineering⠀skills⠀across⠀multiple⠀concurrently⠀active⠀projects
1-5⠀years’⠀engineering⠀experience⠀required
A⠀strong⠀work⠀ethic,⠀high⠀motivation,⠀multitasking⠀capability⠀and⠀ability to⠀be⠀mentored
Demonstrated⠀aptitude⠀to plan,⠀organize,⠀schedule,⠀and direct⠀projects⠀and⠀tasks
Demonstrated⠀aptitude⠀for⠀trouble-shooting⠀issues and⠀assist in⠀root-cause⠀analysis⠀techniques
Strong⠀interest⠀in⠀hands-on⠀experience⠀with⠀multi-disciplinary⠀teams
