The Project Production Manager (PPM) supports and coordinates projects from design brief to artwork receipt from outside vendors. The PPM is responsible for upstream project management within the supply chain and ensuring company policies and standard procedures are followed. This role requires proactive decision-making to fulfill commitments to clients and deliver high-quality results.
Essential Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Planning:
- Collaborate with on-site teams to plan and execute projects based on client expectations.
- Review preliminary artwork and gather job specifications from on-site teams or clients.
- Conduct and follow up on action items from pre-production meetings via conference calls.
- Act as a liaison between design teams, production staff, and clients regarding print feasibility and quality.
Quality Assurance:
- Provide constructive feedback to design teams to ensure printability and cost-effectiveness.
- Compile and review pre-production notes and artwork adjustments for accuracy.
- Stop work or authorize rework if quality does not meet customer expectations.
Client & Team Collaboration:
- Maintain consistent communication between customer service teams and production staff.
- Schedule planning meetings and provide support for resolving customer complaints or issues.
- Suggest and implement innovative ideas for improved production quality and efficiency.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
- Education:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in graphic arts or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years in customer service within the graphics industry.
- Experience working with clients, buyers, and printers.
- Familiarity with production processes and print feasibility considerations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while performing audits and resolving issues on-site.
