Principal Transportation Engineer

• Preparation⠀of traffic⠀study⠀reports⠀and impact⠀analysis⠀reports⠀for⠀various⠀road and⠀development⠀projects.

  Conducting⠀Traffic⠀Studies⠀for major⠀roads⠀infrastructure⠀projects⠀involving⠀transportation⠀demand⠀modeling,⠀traffic⠀operations⠀analysis,⠀and public⠀transit⠀planning⠀based on⠀MOTC-LTPD⠀guidelines⠀and⠀procedures⠀for⠀transport⠀studies

  Update⠀Transport⠀Models and⠀development⠀of⠀conceptual⠀road⠀designs,⠀performs⠀conventional⠀and⠀complex⠀engineering⠀assignments,⠀applying⠀engineering⠀techniques⠀and⠀analyses⠀within a⠀discipline.

  Carrying⠀out demand⠀forecasting⠀and⠀transport⠀model⠀analysis⠀required⠀to assist⠀with the⠀traffic⠀impact⠀studies.

  Work⠀closely⠀with⠀related⠀teams and⠀develop⠀traffic⠀congestion⠀management⠀plans by⠀providing⠀data and⠀technical⠀support as⠀needed

  Performing⠀microsimulation⠀modelling⠀analysis⠀for road⠀intersections⠀corridors,⠀bus⠀facilities⠀and⠀development⠀sites.

  Preparation⠀and⠀coordination⠀for data⠀collection⠀tasks⠀required⠀for⠀traffic⠀studies⠀including⠀traffic⠀counts⠀surveys.

  Provides⠀input and⠀technical⠀guidance⠀to traffic⠀engineers⠀and CAD⠀Designer/Drafters,⠀Designers⠀working on⠀the same⠀project.

  Performs⠀other⠀responsibilities⠀associated⠀with this⠀position⠀as may be⠀appropriate.

Requirements:

• Degree in⠀civil/transportation⠀engineering⠀from a⠀recognized⠀institution

  Minimum⠀15⠀years’⠀experience⠀in traffic⠀operations⠀and⠀analysis⠀of various⠀traffic⠀projects⠀preferably⠀in Gulf⠀region.

  Potential⠀to perform⠀in a lead⠀capacity,⠀excellent⠀written⠀and oral⠀communications⠀skills,⠀and a⠀familiarity⠀of⠀industry⠀practices⠀and⠀regulations⠀are⠀required

  Must⠀possess a⠀thorough⠀knowledge⠀of current⠀technology⠀and be⠀able to⠀select and⠀apply⠀appropriate⠀engineering⠀software⠀for use on⠀project

  A⠀strong⠀understanding⠀of⠀transport⠀modelling,⠀demand⠀forecast⠀and⠀multi-modal⠀methodologies

  Must⠀have⠀in-depth⠀experience⠀with⠀Traffic⠀Impact⠀Studies,⠀Traffic⠀Operational⠀Analysis

  Must⠀have⠀thorough⠀working⠀knowledge⠀with⠀traffic⠀analysis⠀tools such⠀as⠀SYNCHRO,⠀VISUM,⠀VISSIM,⠀HCS and⠀other⠀traffic⠀engineering⠀–⠀modeling⠀software

  Must⠀have⠀experience⠀in parking⠀management,⠀parking⠀demand and⠀supply,⠀parking⠀design⠀within⠀buildings,⠀traffic⠀circulations,⠀determining⠀the number⠀of⠀accesses/egresses

  Familiar⠀with UAE⠀and local⠀standards⠀such as⠀Roads &⠀Transport⠀Authority⠀of Dubai⠀guidelines⠀and⠀procedures⠀for⠀transport⠀studies

  Excellent⠀report⠀writing⠀skills,⠀preparation⠀of⠀presentations.⠀Must have⠀excellent⠀written⠀and oral⠀communications⠀skills in⠀English
