Piping Material Engineer

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Create⠀and/or⠀develop⠀Piping⠀Material⠀Specification⠀/ Goby,⠀review⠀client⠀documents,⠀specifications,⠀requirements⠀and its⠀applicable⠀international⠀codes and⠀standards.
• Manage⠀multiple⠀projects.
• Thorough⠀understanding⠀of client⠀project⠀scope and⠀specifications.
• Provide⠀a team of⠀drafters,⠀checks and⠀other with⠀all⠀information⠀necessary⠀to process⠀pipe spool⠀fabrication⠀drawings⠀for⠀multiple⠀fabrication⠀facilities.
• Communicate⠀and⠀resolve⠀with⠀client any⠀issues⠀pertaining⠀to⠀questions/conflicts⠀regarding⠀scope,⠀specifications,⠀and client⠀drawings.
• Thorough⠀understanding⠀of shop⠀methods⠀using the⠀fabrication⠀of pipe⠀spools.
• Familiar⠀with and⠀utilize⠀department⠀standards,⠀procedures,⠀and⠀guidelines.
• Assist⠀Engineering⠀Co-Ordinator⠀/ Team⠀leader for⠀their⠀technical⠀difficulties.
• Co-ordinate⠀with⠀Project⠀Interface⠀Engineer⠀for⠀modifications,⠀priority⠀issuance⠀of spool⠀drawings,⠀missing⠀data from⠀Client.
• Able⠀to⠀demonstrate⠀sufficient⠀technical⠀knowledge⠀and⠀awareness⠀of details⠀to be able⠀to⠀recognize⠀when⠀technical⠀problems⠀are⠀developing⠀in the⠀various⠀teams, and⠀to⠀initiate⠀appropriate⠀corrective⠀actions.
• Review⠀the client⠀RFQ and⠀Epic⠀Proposals⠀from⠀beginning⠀to⠀end.
• Attends⠀all the⠀company-organized⠀training⠀courses⠀when⠀invited.
• Be⠀aware of⠀and obey⠀the⠀Company⠀Health,⠀Safety and⠀Environmental,⠀and⠀Quality⠀rules &⠀perform⠀the⠀activities.

Competency Statement(s)

• Good technical knowledge on mechanical / piping material engineering.
• Good technical knowledge in piping engineering.
• Well conversant with oil and gas engineering practices and in particular pipe fabrication technology.
• Good time management skills.
• Familiarity with codes and standards of ASTM, ASME, and PFI.
• Familiarity with various metallurgies.
• Understanding of non-destructive examination methods, heat treatments, paint, and welding procedures.
• Should possess general knowledge of the theory, content and application of statutory codes and guidelines related to Epic Piping operations.
• Proactive approach, confidence, and desire to tackle challenges.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong oral and written English communication skills

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Academic Education to BS Level Minimum in Engineering and Membership of an appropriate professional engineering body is preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 8 Years in Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years in Piping Material Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years in Middle East preferably UAE
