Pharmacy Technician pharm Tech Apprenticeship

Walgreens is looking for passionate and customer-focused Pharmacy Technicians to join their team. Key Responsibilities:

Customer Experience:

• Greet customers, offer assistance, and engage with them to ensure a positive and friendly experience.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Share best customer service practices with team members and build strong relationships with regular customers.

Pharmacy Operations:

• Assist pharmacists under direct supervision with various pharmacy tasks in compliance with state, federal, and company policies.
• Enter patient and drug information, fill prescriptions, verify medicines, and check for potential drug interactions.
• Report prescription errors to pharmacists and strictly adhere to company protocols.
• Handle prescription claims, process manual claims for third-party programs, and assist with inventory management.
• Provide support for clinical services, such as collecting and labeling samples, and assist in maintaining pharmacy cleanliness and supply levels.

Training & Development:

• Participate in Walgreens’ Pharmacy Technician Training Program, earn and maintain PTCB certification, and continue to develop knowledge in healthcare and pharmacy practices.
• Attend training and earn continuing education credits.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens is a plus.
• Strong math skills for accurately filling prescriptions.
• Good computer and inventory control skills.
• PTCB Certification is preferred.
