Role Overview:
As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll be essential in delivering accurate and timely prescriptions to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prescription Management: Interpret and enter prescription data in compliance with state regulations.
- System Navigation: Process prescriptions, verify orders, and generate labels using various computer systems.
- Medication Handling: Package and deliver medications following safety standards.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct checks, resolve third-party rejections, and liaise with prescribers or patients as needed.
- Order Preparation: Verify manual orders, pull medications, scan, and package as required.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma/GED.
- Experience:
- At least 1+ years in counting/packing medications and handling prior authorizations.
- Familiarity with pharmacy terminology (e.g., SIG codes, brand, and generic medications).
- Certification: Active pharmacy technician certification in the state of employment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows PC applications and ability to learn complex systems.
- Availability: Able to work during operating hours (M-F 8 a.m.–6 p.m.; Sat-Sun 10 a.m.–3 p.m.).
