Pharmaceutical Packaging Machine Operator

Our Tampa facility is currently seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team and help drive our mission forward.

Position Overview: The Machine Operator at Lonza Tampa will execute assembly instructions for packaging and labeling processes according to Batch Record requirements, ensuring compliance with cGMP guidelines. This role involves maintaining accurate and timely documentation, supporting manufacturing operations, and adhering to FDA cGMP standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Batch Record Execution: Follow batch record instructions for Primary and Secondary Packaging processes.
• Equipment Operation: Assist in the setup and operation of automated equipment for packaging operations.
• Material Handling: Assist in the reconciliation and movement of materials between packaging areas and the warehouse.
• Quality Reporting: Report any observations to QA, Team Lead, or management regarding potential issues that could lead to deviations or investigations.
• Cleaning and Sanitization: Perform cleaning and sanitization of packaging rooms and equipment as per department procedures.
• Equipment Support: Assist the Equipment Specialist in executing qualification protocols for new equipment as assigned.
• Training and Compliance: Stay current with job requirements through training on SOPs, and ensure accurate logbook entries and GMP documentation.
• Safety and Sustainability: Participate in safety processes and meetings, promptly report any safety issues, and stop work when necessary to maintain safety.
• Professional Conduct: Maintain a positive, professional, and confidential relationship with sponsors, complying with all state and federal regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements:

• Experience: Prior machine operator experience is highly preferred, especially within a GMP environment. Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Skills: Solid understanding of GMP guidelines, attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and strong communication skills.
