The Part-Time Staff Research Assistant will support Project STRIDE, a 5-year federal grant led by Dr. Antonio Polo in DePaul University’s Psychology Department. Project STRIDE aims to train and support interns from DePaul and other universities in cultural competence and evidence-based practices. The Research Assistant will contribute to various aspects of program support, data analysis, report preparation, and communication within the program.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Data Collection and Analysis

    • Analyze cohort data and prepare monthly memos for distribution.
    • Conduct searches for articles and evidence-based programs for the STRIDE library.
    • Support project evaluation, preparing reports, and monitoring program metrics, including recruitment, engagement, and fidelity measures.
  2. Communications and Coordination

    • Draft and send memos to STRIDE and CPS staff cohorts, and help create presentations for Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).
    • Monitor recruitment and engagement progress, sending reminders to trainees and staff involved in delivering the program.
  3. Participant Support and Data Collection

    • Collect data through student referral assessments, interviews with participants and parents, and provider surveys.
    • Assist STRIDE Scholars and school partners with recruitment, data collection, and monitoring participant progress.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months in school-based or mental health research.
  • Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish.

This position is grant-funded and contingent on continued grant funding.
