The King County Road Services Division is seeking a Part-Time Administrative Specialist III to support their Maintenance Section. This role involves providing comprehensive administrative support and working closely with payroll staff, section and unit managers, and maintenance staff.

Job Duties:

  • General Office Support: Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence; process training requests; maintain lists; manage priority tasks while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Payroll/Labor Distribution: Review and ensure accuracy of payroll paperwork; track and report daily employee time; compile and validate data.
  • Management Reporting and Tracking: Maintain and administer data for the Roads Maintenance budget; provide reports on budget, material usage, and maintenance activities.
  • Database Management: Assist with data entry and maintenance of databases for program needs.
  • Customer Service: Provide technical support and handle inquiries from internal staff and the public; manage telephone communications.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Required Skills:
    • Knowledge of office policies, Microsoft Office Suite, and standard office equipment.
    • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, and customer service abilities.
    • Ability to handle tasks independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Desired Qualifications:
    • Two years of full-time office experience with comparable duties.
    • Experience in a construction-related office environment is preferred.

Necessary Requirements:

  • Valid Washington State Driver's License.

Work Schedule:

  • Hours: 20 hours per week, 4 hours per day, Monday – Friday (with possible adjustments in the summer).
  • Status: Non-exempt, overtime eligible.
