Tesla’s⠀Collision⠀Repair⠀department⠀is looking⠀for⠀someone to⠀join the⠀Collision⠀Repair⠀Validation⠀Team in⠀supporting⠀refinish⠀operations⠀for⠀collision⠀repair⠀centers⠀around the⠀world.

This⠀position⠀is based⠀at our⠀Fremont,⠀CA.⠀Collision⠀Repair⠀Headquarters⠀and serves⠀to review,⠀perform,⠀and⠀provide⠀feedback⠀on⠀refinish⠀operations.⠀As a⠀validation⠀technician,⠀you’ll⠀be⠀performing⠀refinish⠀operations,⠀validating⠀repair⠀center⠀tooling,⠀and⠀investigating⠀issues on⠀the path⠀to new⠀repair⠀techniques.

What You’ll Do

Perform⠀refinish⠀operations⠀on Tesla⠀Vehicles
Provide⠀feedback⠀to⠀development⠀team for⠀optimizations
Creating⠀Flat Rate⠀Times for⠀estimating⠀platforms
Validate⠀and test⠀refinish⠀equipment,⠀i.e. Spray⠀gun, paint⠀booths,⠀air⠀sanders,⠀sanding⠀blocks,⠀and⠀Collision⠀related⠀tooling⠀etc.
Presenting⠀refinish⠀operations⠀results to⠀various⠀teams for⠀review and⠀approval
Maintain⠀a clean⠀and⠀organized⠀paint⠀shop;⠀includes⠀cleaning⠀of work⠀area,⠀maintaining⠀and⠀ordering⠀of parts,⠀tools,⠀equipment,⠀and⠀consumables⠀used to⠀perform⠀validations
Time⠀management⠀of⠀multiple⠀projects,⠀simultaneously
Learning⠀and⠀adapting⠀to new⠀computer⠀software

What You’ll Bring

Vocational⠀certificate⠀in⠀collision⠀repair,⠀preferred
5+⠀years⠀experience⠀refinishing⠀cars in an⠀automotive⠀collision⠀repair⠀environment⠀utilizing⠀urethane⠀based⠀refinish⠀systems,⠀Tesla⠀experience⠀preferred
High⠀proficiency⠀in written⠀and spoken⠀English
Strong⠀computer⠀skills
Ability⠀to⠀maintain⠀high level⠀of⠀confidentiality
Ability⠀to work⠀independently⠀in limited⠀supervision⠀environments
Ability⠀to travel⠀domestically⠀and⠀international⠀based on⠀business⠀needs
