This⠀position⠀performs⠀skilled⠀technical⠀and⠀administrative⠀work in a⠀wide⠀variety of⠀functions⠀in support⠀the⠀efficient⠀operations⠀of the⠀assigned⠀department;⠀does⠀related⠀work as⠀required.⠀Work is⠀performed⠀under the⠀regular⠀supervision⠀of a⠀department⠀supervisor.

PHYSICAL⠀DEMANDS
The⠀work is⠀light work⠀requiring⠀the⠀exertion⠀of up to⠀20 pounds⠀of force⠀occasionally,⠀up to 10⠀pounds of⠀force⠀frequently,⠀and a⠀negligible⠀amount of⠀force⠀constantly⠀to move⠀objects.⠀The work⠀requires⠀mental⠀acuity⠀including⠀the⠀ability to⠀make⠀rational⠀decisions⠀through⠀sound⠀logic and⠀deductive⠀processes.⠀Additionally,⠀the⠀following⠀physical⠀abilities⠀are⠀required:

  • Hearing:⠀Required⠀to⠀perceive⠀information⠀at normal⠀spoken⠀word⠀levels.
  • Manual⠀Dexterity:⠀Picking,⠀pinching,⠀or⠀otherwise⠀working,⠀primarily⠀with⠀fingers⠀rather⠀than with⠀the whole⠀hand as in⠀handling.
  • Repetitive⠀Motion:⠀Substantial⠀movements⠀(motions)⠀of the⠀wrist,⠀hands,⠀and/or⠀fingers.
  • Vocal⠀Communication:⠀Required⠀for⠀expressing⠀or⠀exchanging⠀ideas by⠀means of⠀the spoken⠀word.
  • Visual⠀Acuity:⠀Required⠀for⠀preparing⠀and⠀analyzing⠀written or⠀computer⠀data,⠀determining⠀the⠀accuracy⠀and⠀thoroughness⠀of work,⠀and⠀observing⠀general⠀surroundings⠀and⠀activities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Work will be specialized according to the assigned department. The following essential job functions are representative of the type of tasks that may be performed on a daily basis:

  • Provides⠀administrative⠀support,⠀including⠀data⠀entry,⠀filing,⠀and⠀responding⠀to⠀inquiries⠀from⠀internal⠀and⠀external⠀stakeholders.
  • Assists⠀in the⠀preparation⠀of⠀reports,⠀presentations,⠀correspondence,⠀and other⠀communication⠀materials⠀related to⠀departmental⠀activities.
  • Collaborates⠀with team⠀members to⠀identify⠀opportunities⠀for⠀process⠀improvements⠀and⠀efficiency⠀enhancements.
  • Interacts⠀with⠀customers,⠀contractors,⠀vendors,⠀and⠀citizens,⠀answering⠀questions,⠀and⠀resolving⠀issues.
  • Operates⠀standard⠀office,⠀personal⠀computer,⠀and⠀related⠀equipment.
  • Assists⠀with⠀project⠀management⠀activities,⠀including⠀scheduling,⠀budget⠀tracking,⠀and⠀resource⠀allocation.
  • Develops⠀and⠀maintains⠀databases⠀and⠀spreadsheets⠀to track⠀and⠀analyze⠀data.
  • Reviews⠀a variety⠀of data⠀for⠀accuracy,⠀completeness,⠀and⠀conformance⠀to⠀established⠀standards⠀and⠀policies.
  • Analyzes⠀operational⠀data and⠀generates⠀reports to⠀support⠀decision-making⠀and⠀performance⠀monitoring.
  • Coordinates⠀work⠀orders and⠀service⠀requests,⠀ensuring⠀timely⠀completion⠀and⠀adherence⠀to quality⠀standards.
  • Operates⠀radio⠀dispatching⠀and⠀follows up⠀on work⠀order⠀status as⠀assigned.
  • Provides⠀technical⠀support⠀and⠀assistance⠀to field⠀personnel⠀as⠀assigned.
  • Performs⠀related⠀tasks as⠀required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

A high⠀school⠀diploma or⠀equivalent,⠀and three⠀years of⠀experience⠀in office⠀work and⠀using⠀Microsoft⠀Office⠀applications.⠀Supplemental⠀courses in⠀computer⠀applications,⠀business⠀administration,⠀or⠀accounting⠀are⠀preferred⠀and may⠀substitute⠀for one⠀year of⠀experience.
