The IT⠀Operations⠀Manager⠀will be⠀responsible⠀for⠀managing⠀the⠀day-to-day⠀activities⠀of our IT⠀infrastructure⠀and⠀operations
team,⠀ensuring⠀the smooth⠀operation⠀of all⠀systems,⠀applications,⠀and⠀services.⠀The ideal⠀candidate⠀should⠀have⠀experience⠀in
managing⠀and⠀maintaining⠀complex IT⠀environments,⠀possess⠀strong⠀leadership⠀skills,⠀and have⠀excellent⠀communication⠀and
problem-solving⠀abilities.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and lead a team of IT professionals responsible for server administration, network engineering, and help desk
support.
2. Ensure the stable operation of all IT systems, applications, and services, including servers, storage, network
infrastructure, databases, and cloud services.
3. Develop, implement, and enforce policies, procedures, and best practices that align with industry standards and company
requirements.
4. Plan, design, and execute projects related to IT infrastructure upgrades, improvements, and expansions.
5. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to prevent future incidents.
6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of IT initiatives.
7. Develop and manage budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships.
8. Implement security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and malicious attacks.
9. Stay current with emerging technologies and trends, evaluating their applicability to the organization's needs and making
recommendations for adoption where appropriate.
10. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members to promote professional development and growth.
11. Work closely with senior management to establish strategic direction and goals for the IT department.
12. Coordinate and manage disaster recovery efforts in case of unexpected events or system failures.
13. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR).
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
2. At least 5 years of experience as an IT Operations Manager or similar role.
3. Proven track record of successfully leading and managing high-performing IT teams.
4. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, network protocols, and cloud computing platforms.
5. Familiarity with IT service management frameworks such as ITIL.
6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work through complex issues quickly and efficiently.
7. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical
and non-technical stakeholders.
8. Experience working with vendors and third-party providers to resolve issues and optimize contractual agreements.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
10. Strong understanding of security principles and practices, including risk assessment and mitigation.
11. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR).
12. Certifications such as ITIL, Prince2, or CISSP are advantageous but not mandatory
