Center Operator

This job position focuses on real-time support for public transportation through the operation of train control, power distribution, and communication systems. The role involves customer service through effective communication, maintaining balanced train schedules, responding to emergencies, supporting maintenance operations, and documenting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Communication: Provide accurate, real-time information on customer service and emergency events.
• Train Operation Support: Monitor service plans, radio and CCTV communications, train configurations, and service disruption strategies.
• Power and System Management: Use SCADA systems to oversee power distribution for service and emergencies.
• Documentation: Maintain complete records in shift logbooks and follow operation protocols.
• Emergency and Maintenance Support: Execute work permits and clearances for maintenance safely and efficiently.
• Adaptability: Willing to fill short-term supervisory gaps and perform other tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• Education: Preferably an associate degree in a customer service-related field; additional supervisory experience is beneficial.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, judgment under pressure, troubleshooting abilities, and an aptitude for working with SCADA and ATC systems.
• Certifications: Must meet requirements for the Non-Aeronautical Operations Area ID card and complete the necessary AirTrain operations training.
