The⠀Operations⠀Automation⠀Engineer⠀serves as⠀a liaison⠀between⠀the⠀Operations⠀Department⠀and the⠀various IT⠀Teams.⠀This⠀position⠀is⠀expected⠀to support⠀continuous⠀integration,⠀the⠀automation⠀and⠀documentation⠀of⠀operational⠀workflows⠀processes⠀to ensure⠀that they⠀are⠀repeatable⠀and⠀reliable.

The⠀essential⠀responsibilities⠀of this⠀position⠀include,⠀but are⠀not⠀limited⠀to, the⠀following:

• Implements⠀services⠀to⠀automate⠀monitoring⠀activities⠀and⠀provide⠀critical⠀information⠀to⠀facilitate⠀response⠀and⠀resolution⠀of⠀performance⠀issues and⠀incidents.
• Applies⠀principles⠀of logical⠀thinking⠀to define⠀problems,⠀collects⠀data,⠀establishes⠀facts, and⠀draws⠀valid⠀conclusions.
• Troubleshoots⠀and⠀analyzes⠀system⠀disruptions⠀to⠀determine⠀the root⠀cause of⠀issues and⠀develop⠀solutions⠀for⠀improved⠀reliability.
• Works⠀productively⠀and⠀harmoniously⠀with⠀others on⠀a⠀consistent⠀basis.
• Reviews⠀new⠀technologies⠀against⠀business⠀requirements⠀to⠀identify⠀opportunities⠀for⠀process,⠀performance,⠀and⠀reliability⠀improvements⠀to reduce⠀cost or⠀simplify.
• Understands⠀and⠀contributes⠀to⠀technical⠀architectures,⠀capacity⠀plans,⠀tooling⠀needs and⠀automation⠀plans.
• Monitors⠀and⠀maintains⠀Production⠀and Test⠀AppWorx⠀applications⠀and⠀environments⠀and take⠀needed⠀corrective⠀actions to⠀resolve⠀any system⠀issues,⠀aborts⠀and/or⠀other⠀backlog⠀issues.
• Monitors⠀Operations⠀queue and⠀takes⠀needed⠀actions⠀including⠀updating⠀and⠀closing⠀calls upon⠀completion⠀of⠀Operations⠀tasks.
• Ensures⠀Business⠀Continuity⠀plans are⠀in place,⠀tested,⠀and⠀executed⠀as⠀applicable.
• Works⠀existing⠀Operations⠀ticket⠀queue,⠀tracking⠀all work⠀via an⠀approved⠀Jira⠀ticket.
• Attends⠀meetings⠀as⠀assigned,⠀and⠀provides⠀synopsis⠀as⠀required.
• Reviews⠀existing⠀processes⠀with a⠀goal⠀towards⠀automation⠀and⠀modernization.
• Participates⠀in on call⠀rotation,⠀including⠀deployments⠀and⠀answering⠀any⠀incoming⠀calls⠀during⠀rotation.
• Acts⠀as SME for⠀engineers⠀from a⠀technical⠀perspective⠀on⠀challenges⠀related to⠀performance,⠀troubleshooting⠀and⠀architecture.
• Performs⠀other⠀duties as⠀assigned.
• Provides⠀trend⠀analysis⠀and⠀capacity⠀planning⠀to ensure⠀uptime and⠀long-term⠀systems⠀viability⠀for⠀applications⠀/⠀services.
• Provides⠀systems⠀that⠀adhere to⠀a valid,⠀documented,⠀and⠀functional⠀best⠀practices⠀based on⠀Zenith⠀standards⠀of⠀Procedure,⠀Configuration⠀and⠀architecture⠀documentation⠀for⠀applications⠀/⠀services.
• Supports⠀systems⠀integration⠀effort⠀required⠀to support⠀business⠀applications⠀needs.
• Supports⠀the⠀implementation⠀of⠀hardware /⠀software /⠀environment⠀standards⠀based on⠀business⠀strategy⠀and⠀architecture.
• Provides⠀system⠀support⠀for all IT⠀and⠀Business⠀projects⠀and⠀related⠀efforts.

Education, Skills, and Requirements

• Bachelor’s⠀Degree⠀preferred.
• 5+⠀Years⠀Experience⠀with⠀enterprise⠀operating⠀system⠀administration⠀required.
• 5+⠀Years⠀Experience⠀with⠀database⠀systems,⠀such as⠀Oracle,⠀SQL Server⠀required.
• Must⠀be able to⠀read,⠀write and⠀review⠀automation⠀code⠀(Power⠀Shell,⠀Python,⠀Bash, SQL,⠀etc.).
• Must⠀work⠀independently⠀and is⠀able to⠀complete⠀job⠀requirements⠀with⠀minimal⠀supervision.
• Must⠀have⠀strong⠀interpersonal⠀and⠀organizational⠀skills,⠀including⠀the⠀ability to⠀meet⠀deadlines,⠀work in a⠀team⠀environment,⠀follow⠀written⠀policies⠀and⠀procedures,⠀and⠀maintain⠀superior⠀customer⠀service at⠀all⠀times.
• Must⠀possess⠀excellent⠀communication⠀skills and⠀the⠀ability to⠀independently⠀solve⠀complex⠀technical⠀issues.

The⠀expected⠀salary⠀range for⠀this⠀position⠀is⠀$112,712.86-$140,891.07.⠀Actual pay⠀will be⠀adjusted⠀based on⠀experience,⠀geographic⠀location,⠀and other⠀job-related⠀factors as⠀permitted⠀by law.⠀Qualifications⠀may⠀warrant⠀placement⠀in a⠀different⠀job⠀level.
