Position Overview:

Morningstar values its people as our most important asset. As a People & Culture MDP Associate, you will support the HR team by providing excellent service to employees and managers. You will assist in daily HR tasks and contribute to People & Culture projects. This position is based in our Chicago office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries from employees and managers. Provide comprehensive and accurate responses, collaborating with subject matter experts and HRIS teams when necessary.
  • Identify, implement, and continuously improve internal HR processes to enhance our global service desk capability, ensuring a top-notch experience for internal customers.
  • Gain exposure to multiple P&C areas, including Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and HR Operations, over the two-year program.
  • Lead and contribute to projects in areas such as analytics, process improvements, program development, organizational change, and communication strategies.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years of professional experience, including internships or demonstrated leadership in campus activities.
  • A strong desire to learn and grow within the People & Culture function.
  • Quick learner with a professional attitude, critical thinking skills, and proactive approach.
  • Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively.
  • High discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence.
