Merchandiser

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Inventory Oversight

   • Manage and fulfill orders per MVN's inventory standards.
   • Ensure barcoding, tagging, and labeling of products are accurate.
   • Perform spot-checks, audits, cycle counts, and physical inventories.
   • Investigate and report discrepancies between OpSuite/RMS records and physical counts.

2. Merchandising

   • Maintain top-tier presentation of merchandise.
   • Ensure all stock is correctly tagged and displayed per MVN guidelines.
   • Coordinate the setup of signage and barcode equipment.

3. Communication and Coordination

   • Report inventory issues to managers and coordinate with the Yard Superintendent.
   • Work closely with sales, logistics, and planting teams to align on inventory needs and product adjustments.
   • Generate reports on inventory exceptions, shortages, and other issues.

4. Data Management

   • Update records, complete data entry, and maintain accurate documentation.
   • Prepare and analyze reports like sold, bump, and exception reports.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1+ year in inventory control or related retail role.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and inventory software (OpSuite/RMS).
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical skills.
  • Good problem-solving, communication, and decision-making abilities.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions (heat, sun, rain).
  • Regularly involve walking, bending, and climbing.
