The Customer Service Specialist at Pacific Medical Clinics (PacMed), part of Providence, focuses on providing service to US Family Health Plan members. The role involves managing member inquiries, complaints, and grievances while working with both members and providers. The specialist uses an Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) system to field calls and handles written inquiries, mail sorting, and member education on benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use ACD system to respond to calls from members and providers.
  • Sort mail and address written inquiries from members.
  • Provide accurate, timely responses to inquiries through phone, writing, or direct communication.
  • Assist members with grievances, explain benefits, and offer guidance on their health plan.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in customer service within the healthcare field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education.
  • 2 years of experience in an HMO setting.
  • Experience with medical claims processing.
