Position Overview: ASG is seeking MCR (Master Control Room) Operators to join our Live Streaming Operations team in Dania Beach, FL, supporting a leading OTT streaming service. The Live Streaming Operations team is crucial in managing and monitoring inbound/outbound transmission, ad insertion, feed routing, and ensuring the overall quality of video, audio, and captions for high-profile sporting events and other live content. This role will focus on providing master control and live operations support for NFL Sunday Ticket games. The position requires working on Sundays during the NFL season and occasional late-night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Feed Monitoring: Acquire and monitor all inbound video, audio, and caption feeds to ensure continuity of programming.
  • Transmission Coordination: Conduct transmission "fax" checks and coordinate with remote/studio locations to resolve any issues.
  • Signal Routing: Route various signals based on booking and program schedule information.
  • Cue & Roll: Operate EVS IP Director to cue and roll slates.
  • Live Event Coordination: Count in and out of studio & truck segments and commercial breaks.
  • Issue Resolution: Work with Operations Supervisors to promptly recover from any on-air discrepancies.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate to Engineer-in-Charge or providers as needed.
  • Documentation: Report and document technical issues, including logging on-air discrepancies.
  • Broadcast Equipment Operation: Operate all broadcast equipment and technology within assigned operating areas.
  • Special Projects: Participate in special event coverage and projects as required.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a Master Control Room environment.
  • Live TV: Ability to perform well under the pressure of live television.
  • Technical Skills: General understanding of broadcast routers, transmission systems, monitoring, playout/ad insertion, valid readers, replay, graphics, and other television technology.
  • Broadcast Knowledge: Ability to read scopes and a basic understanding of broadcast and streaming systems.
  • Teamwork: Strong team player with a willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changes with a positive attitude.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work late nights on Sundays, especially during the NFL season.
  • Communication: Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English.
  • Sports Knowledge: Being a sports fan and having knowledge of sports is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits: This role offers an hourly rate of $30-$60, depending on experience.
