As the Manager for Global Sustainability Procurement, you will play an essential role in advancing McCain's global sustainability agenda, primarily through procurement strategies that align with our environmental goals. Reporting to the Global Director of Sustainable Procurement, you’ll collaborate with regional procurement leaders to support initiatives like Scope 3 carbon reduction, renewable energy sourcing, and responsible sourcing.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Engagement & Scope 3 Reduction

  • Lead McCain’s Scope 3 reduction strategy to meet our 30% carbon reduction target by 2030.
  • Partner with suppliers to gather CO2 data, refine emissions metrics, and improve Scope 3 inventory tracking.
  • Support suppliers and internal teams with emissions reduction initiatives and track progress.

Renewable Electricity Strategy

  • Manage McCain's global renewable electricity sourcing efforts, overseeing regional projects to meet targets sustainably and cost-effectively.
  • Support regional energy managers in project approvals and execution.

Responsible Sourcing Strategy

  • Refine and implement McCain’s Responsible Sourcing program in partnership with regional teams.
  • Oversee the SEDEX workstream and develop training programs for procurement teams.

Sustainability Data & Reporting

  • Lead data collection and analysis to support McCain’s sustainability objectives.
  • Partner with the Global Sustainability team for annual procurement data reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Procurement team to improve data collection and reporting efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in sustainability or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in corporate sustainability, with an emphasis on supplier engagement and responsible sourcing.
  • Experience in agriculture or manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks (CDP, CSRD, EUDR).
  • Strong program management skills with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities, capable of influencing various stakeholders.
