As a Production Support Associate, you will work as part of a dynamic team to support manufacturing operations with the aim of improving productivity, reducing downtime, and minimizing waste. Your key responsibilities will include assisting machine operators with setup and quality control checks, maintaining equipment cleanliness, and adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Team Collaboration: Work alongside the Operator and Supervisor to support the production process, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Machine Setup: Assist with setting up pre-feeders, printing downs, die-cut sections, and making ink adjustments according to correct procedures.
- Quality Control: Perform quality checks before, during, and after each order, ensuring products meet specifications.
- Equipment Monitoring: Inspect machines during runs and notify the Operator of any issues or deviations from quality standards.
- Clean-Up: Assist with cleaning and maintaining equipment after each run to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all company safety rules, including lock-out tag-out procedures, and help maintain a safe working environment.
- 5S Standards: Maintain the shop area and equipment in line with 5S standards (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
- Physical Labor: May be required to stack parts weighing up to 30 lbs for extended periods (up to 12 hours).
- Other Duties: Perform any additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.
Basic Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Work Ethic: Passionate about maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety protocols.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stoop, bend, and lift as necessary.
- Flexibility: Willing to work any shift, including overtime and weekends as needed.
- Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Pre-Employment: Ability to pass background check and drug test.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a packaging or manufacturing environment is preferred, but not required.
