The Legal Support Specialist will assist attorneys by processing legal documents, managing schedules, and handling other administrative tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the Litigation Department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Legal Document Processing: Create and edit briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents, including formatting and preparing tables of contents and authorities.
- Filing: Responsible for filing documents with courts and administrative agencies.
- Scheduling & Calendar Management: Use Microsoft Outlook to manage attorney schedules, including calendar appointments and litigation deadlines.
- Travel Arrangements: Make travel arrangements for attorneys as necessary.
- Communication: Handle phone lines, field calls, and convey messages. Maintain strong communication with attorneys, clients, and coworkers.
- Billing & Expense Management: Assist with monthly bills, process attorney expense reimbursements, and vendor invoices using the firm's reimbursement software system.
- File Management: Open new matters, maintain relevant document inclusions, and manage files both electronically and manually.

Qualifications & Prior Experience:
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a large law firm, preferably in litigation.
