 Greenberg Traurig is seeking an Insurance Regulatory and Legislative Analyst to remotely cover and summarize meetings from various agencies and organizations, assist with legislative activities, and prepare insurance-related communications. This role involves a mix of research, writing, and administrative tasks to support key industry clients and internal teams.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Meeting Coverage:

    • Remotely cover and summarize meetings of Florida state agencies, federal agencies, national insurance organizations, and insurance rule hearings.
    • Assist in covering state legislative meetings and summarize key points into concise reports for clients.
  • Communication Management:

    • Maintain and update distribution lists for key industry clients.
    • Compose and edit insurance-related communications, including weekly regulatory and legislative reports, special alerts, and notices on topics such as court rulings, rule hearings, and legislative activities.
  • Event Support:

    • Assist in organizing meetings and preparing documents for national insurance conferences, held at least three times a year.
  • Research and Presentation:

    • Conduct research projects and assist with preparing presentations.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Strong technology skills, including experience with computer-based newsletter development.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of working independently and prioritizing multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of basic insurance terms and general concepts.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
  • High attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, and effective time management.

Qualifications & Prior Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Experience with insurance terminology and concepts.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Creative and proficient in developing presentation materials.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Legal experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Exceptional computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software applications.
